What family movies are playing on Amazon Prime?

Are there any free movies on Prime Video?

Yes, but not many of them!

They have to be in the Prime catalog for you to see them, which is great for finding them if you want something to watch. If you don't have Prime, start there. Most of these will be free for 30 days and after that you'll have to pay to watch them. The more you watch the more you can access Prime by streaming the video itself.

Prime members also have access to the Amazon Channels app, which lets you subscribe to cable TV channels. You can also use the app to find movies on Prime, which you won't be able to find in the Prime Video app or website. The app's biggest benefit, however, is the ability to sign up to Hulu and Netflix and access all the content offered by those streaming services through the one app.

We're testing a new feature called Look Inside the Book, our way of helping readers better understand books by giving you a window into the context of the creation of a given piece of literature. In this post, we examine a short story collection by China Miville entitled This Jagged Island (2010). The book's opening story, "Unbounded," was published in 2025 by Granta as a serialization in which each installment was made available online for free.

It has been so hard for me to come to the point where I am a seller not a buyer now. When I started out it was like a hobby. I would get excited about a new book or a new movie or any thing and I would buy it on impulse. I guess it was this need to hold something in my hands and know I had it all that made me a buyer in the first place. Well, I know what it feels like to need to physically have something in my hand. Now I spend hours reading ebooks in my Kindle app on my iPhone. A lot of times I want something that is only on eBook. My problem is, I just can't bring myself to commit to any e-series because of the fear that they are all going to go out of print or I am not going to be able to read them when they are gone or I won't be able to read them later in my Kindle app (when Kindle updates).

Does Amazon have kids movies?

The other day I got asked by a friend how Amazon can offer their movies without using the Netflix branding.

That's a good question. When people ask me about this subject I am confused because a whole bunch of things can be explained So let's look at it in more detail.

Before we do, you should note that there are several different ways you can watch Amazon videos (or any media for that matter). You can add it to your Amazon device with a free subscription. It's available for Roku, Fire TV Stick, Android (Fire OS), Apple devices (iOS, iPadOS, tvOS), and even some other phones. Of course, most tablets do not support playback at this time. And you can also download them to your device or view them on your browser using browser plug-ins or an Amazon web app.

What if I don't use Amazon's platform? The easiest way to get videos from Amazon is to do it via one of the Amazon apps for TVs, mobile devices, tablets, etc. As mentioned above, you have a choice of browser, or Android or iOS apps. So when you do choose a TV or tablet, remember that in addition to Amazon's content, you can download other content. For instance, on my Fire TV I downloaded a movie about penguins. It's called Penguin Rescue. I then can watch that movie, or other movies from Amazon, on my iPad. Of course, I can watch Amazon videos on all these devices.

Another way is if you decide to download videos on your computer. I know this is usually against Amazon's rules but I think most of their videos are available in this fashion. In order to view them on a computer or laptop you can also install the Amazon Videos app or add it to a Chrome shortcut. It should be able to handle most anything.

But what about the Netflix brand? This might seem odd but it is true. The content available on Amazon's platform has been provided through partnerships with various movie studios. Many times this is because movies produced by these studios were made available on Netflix when they were only available on Netflix, and then later were deleted from that service.

When these movies go off of Netflix, the studio often sends them to Amazon. Many of them still include Netflix branding and logos.
