As a result, it is very important to know when a developer has made a change in the code before releasing the product and to understand its effects and consequences. The development team may change some settings in an application before its release. It is the quality engineer's task to check and ensure these settings. If he/she doesn't know how to read code, you will end up with issues at an early stage of the product.

He/She needs to ensure that each piece of data delivered to the end user is complete and accurate. In other words, he/she should double check whether any data in an interface or database contains missing or inaccurate information.

He/She analyzes test cases for bugs, provides solutions for problems, and helps test managers identify areas in an application for new test cases. He/She is also responsible for analyzing and reporting on all metrics such as availability, scalability, performance and security. He/She must ensure that systems are functioning well even when a lot of users access them. It is the job of the Quality Engineer to know how applications react to load peaks. He/She must be able to measure what is happening.

All these things depend upon the type of application as well as the scale of its deployment. For example, there is different set of skills needed to handle different workload of a social network than managing a single website. He/She is responsible for all kinds of issues, from bugs to security breaches. He/She must know where to look for these issues and resolve them by getting help from testing tools. It is not easy for anyone to go thorough all layers of an application.

What I want you to do is: Download the test cases off my website and work through them. Take a test case from the list below and go through the test case step-by-step, looking at the GUI you can see there. See if the UI of each test case has buttons. If they do, figure out which button is which. If there's no buttons, then there's no button or link on the page and you'll have to figure it out.

Look through the test cases. See if there are any links or buttons that send the person to another page on your site. If there is such a link or button, click it. Look at what happens next and look for problems. There are two things you need to look for, the error message, and the error code. Figure out how to find the error code.

Look at each error message you find. Are they hard to read? Do they suggest more information should be provided to you? Does it tell you where to go? If they do not provide a very useful error message, then maybe the developer that wrote the program wasn't paying attention when he was designing the program.

If you're done with each test case, mark it complete. Each of the following test cases is marked complete for you. Go through each one step by step. This isn't easy, and it's not fun. We're going to build this into our junior QA workbooks. But it's worth doing. If you can do all four test cases, you will be a junior QYou don't need to do all four test cases. You don't need to have all four test cases fail. Some won't fail, so you'll get at least two test cases passed.
