Why did my Disney droid stop working?
I got the Disneyland Resort version of Disney's MyVoice, and my Android tablet stopped recognizing it.
I was using it on a trip to San Francisco, as directed in some guidebook, and as soon as we landed in the airport I saw that the droid no longer worked. I looked at the USB connections that were connected to the tablet in the box, and they didn't have any plugs on them. Is this an issue? What can I do to fix it, or does the droid not operate outside of Disney's theme parks? It doesn't appear that I will have access to anything like the USB ports on a plane, and I'm pretty bummed about missing my reservations for Disneyland.
The droid itself is on version 4.0.1 for the Nexus 4. I have tried deleting and reinstalling it; resetting the configuration information. I have tried unplugging it and replugging it into different ports, including charging and none charged. If anyone has any ideas, you will be incredibly appreciated.
Edit: I should also mention that on my last trip my laptop also no longer worked (but that wasn't until later in the day). No one I asked seemed to have had a clue. I don't know if there is any connection, but I haven't made note of the dates of my last two flights. My trip to California was on 3-10-14.
When you are trying to connect your droid to other non charge source in your situation, you might go in the menu on your phone "USB Connections" and switch back to charging. That did it for me when I had to take out some chargers.

Can you do a walk up at Droid Depot?
I saw one for 1,050 and it said Droid4x, but I wasn't sure if that's the phone or not.
Any way to find out?
The d3 has 4x hd. As far as the walk up, you can get a D3 with 4x hd for less than that. Im sure you can get a d3 with 4x hd for 1k more than that. If it isnt the d3, its the d3.
You can find all of these phones on eBay and other sites, but the only one i've seen in person is a D3 (which can have a 4x) at a Best Buy in the Houston/Galveston area. The ones in there are refurbished or otherwise used, but they're never locked to any carrier or anything. I could probably find you one.
If youre looking for a new one, imo, its hard to beat the price of the unlocked d3. I'd get one that has 4x hd, then i'd go ahead and get an additional sim card with a carrier to be sure of getting service on both sim cards, depending on your needs. I don't think your average Joe off the street will have much trouble with getting the d3 unlocked, but it wont be cheap either.
There's no way to know what a walk-up is unless you've walked in on them. There is no pre-order period, the only difference between this and the Droid 3 is that the D3 has a lower-res screen and some software updates are delayed.
I'd say the D3 is definitely worth checking out. It's priced fairly well for a top tier phone (in my opinion), the display is gorgeous, and you'll get the benefit of 4G LTE support pretty much out of the box.
You need to call the store in question and ask them what kind of stock they have in. No way to tell unless you go there and see.
