Is Stray on PC only?

Is Stray a sad game?

The idea for this blog came out of one question, and several good answers by readers. A friend of mine was telling me how much she enjoyed playing Stray. It's great, she said. But not that great because it's too sad. She didn't enjoy games that made her feel depressed about the world or felt dark, something she said she felt the majority of adventure games were filled with. I asked her if she actually found any other games fulfilling on this matter, if there were any that she could name, and she admitted she hadn't really tried to find any.

I've played through a lot of adventure games in my time. I've certainly encountered games that were sad, and some of them really are. Others, when you look past the game's flaws, can be a pleasure to play, even in spite of their flaws. Sometimes we may not understand that.

My thinking was that the more honest we are with ourselves, the better we'll be able to appreciate the truth behind whatever game we're playing. There is no right or wrong answer, so what follows are just my thoughts on this subject. Stray is one that I consider one of my favorites and yet there are things about it that I dislike as well. I would still enjoy it, but perhaps not as much.

Stray was one of the first adventure games that I played and I enjoyed a lot of it. In many ways it felt a lot like the games I enjoyed growing up, games like King's Quest and Maniac Mansion. It's a game about finding the treasure, but what I remember most about Stray is the tone, and that they nailed it.

The story of Stray is that during the summer, young kids go missing one by one at the old man's farm, and eventually the owner's only son dies without a clue. When that news gets to the big city, it causes a bit of a panic.

One young reporter finds the old man and offers him a big reward to keep quiet about everything. The father can't stand to lose money, but eventually he gives in and agrees to keep quiet.

Is Stray on PC only?

I have Stray, but it is a little buggy.

For example, when I use the mouse wheel to scroll, the window is scrollable and it only stops scrolling when it hits the edge of the screen. Also, in the main menu, I can't select anything. However, when I go to click on something (anything), it just closes the game.

Is this a known bug or something I can expect as normal? Stray was written by the same person who made Piko Interactive and was previously called Piko World Games. This is a shame because he's a very talented guy. I'm sorry if I'm coming across as ungrateful here, I really like this game. It was one of the first few games that I played that didn't crash, and I'm still playing it today. I know the person who created it is capable of doing so much more, and I'd love to see what he could do with a bigger budget.

I think it might be worth it for the person who created Stray to port it over to the Unity engine. I think it would make the game look much better than it does now. I know a lot of people can't play the game because of the bugs. If they ever fix it, I'd love to buy it again.

I'm going to try to go into a bit more detail about the game in general, because I think I may have been unclear about what the bugs were. When you start the game, the main menu screen comes up and you can pick your character. You can pick a race, gender, name, and your name will be shown when you're talking to people in the game. When you're in a town, you can click on a name and it'll show your stats, so you know how well you're doing.

In the main menu, there are three buttons at the bottom left: New Game, Options, and Help. In the middle is where the main game starts.

The main game is basically a platformer where you can jump and run across platforms to reach higher ground. You can collect food, which you can use to level up and learn new moves.

Is Stray still free?

I just saw this in the news.

I've always wondered where the dog went. It's not a big deal but I remember in elementary school, I remember at recess there was a dog that ran around and got away. I always wanted to know what happened to it! Does anyone remember that?

Yes, my friend at one time had a stray (or a "stray" or "lost" or "found") dog, and she had taken him back to a shelter because he was barking like crazy every time his family came to visit. They found him wandering down the street somewhere.

My parents used to play "Hound Dog" on the oldies station on the way to work and on the way home, which was the car stereo. "Hound Dog" made me laugh and smile all the time, I loved to hear that song, and then when I got older, I heard other people sing it, and I'd cringe inside because I loved that song and they didn't care, they sang it because it made them happy.

I've always loved dogs, but I'm not sure if I'll ever get another dog. It's hard to find a really good "pet store" that can be trusted and where the dogs will actually become part of your family.

I am so happy for the animal rights organizations and anyone who is working to improve the conditions of homeless pets. That is what I'd really like to see, if there were someplace we could take abandoned/abused/unwanted animals and give them a home where they are loved and valued. That is something I think about every day and pray about a lot.

I was born in 1959, which makes me a "youngster" when you look at the history of Stray, if not the very first years. I can remember listening to a radio commercial about a dog named Stray, where he could be found, and the only place you could find him was on Stray Island near the mouth of the Deschutes River. This was in the early 1960s.

The name, however, was not given to the dog, or any other "lost" dog. The song that was played on the radio commercial was written by the Stray, Inc., organization.

Is Stray child appropriate?

A mother's viewpoint

I am a foster care parent.

I had my own children and was foster care for the majority of my adulthood. I have adopted and have two biological children of my own.

My child has a friend who is a friend with her stepfather. The girl is in her pre-teen years. The stepfather's wife is having a baby and the parents are moving out of state. The child does not want to be separated from her friends and misses her step-parents. It is clear that she likes her stepdad. Her mom keeps telling me that she needs to tell her what to do. She wants to keep this from happening, but how can I help her if she doesn't want to talk to me? Should I say something to her mom?

Answer: It is very difficult to advise you as you are not there. However, on the surface this is a very loving family. The child will miss the parents, she will feel a loss. She will miss her friends and her siblings.

It seems from your letter, the father of the child does not want to be around the child. My advise would be that he needs to take responsibility for his children. If he does not want to be involved then the best thing to do would be to go to court and seek custody and visitation rights. Then your child will be protected and see that father once in a while.

You mention that you are a foster parent and have a son. Do you not think it is important for him to have his own biological father? The child needs to understand the importance of his heritage. What is his heritage if he is raised by two people and then adopts his own children.

I hope that you have the opportunity to speak to the mother. This could have been avoided if the father had been honest with his children and not allowed them to make false allegations against him. He did not want to be part of their lives and now they have the wrong father.

The mother should step up and take responsibility. I would also suggest that the mother tell her daughter the facts. That she was not happy with the father and wanted him out of the home. She may ask her daughter if the father had any issues with drug abuse, alcohol or anything else. The mother may say, I am sorry that I did not know. I did not want this to happen.
