How do I open Twitter links in app instead of browser?

How to make YouTube links open in app?

You can now play the first season of the new version of Gossip Girl in an App. It's now available on iTunes and Google Play. The free TV show is now a video-app thanks to Apple's support of HTML5 and it's all about gossip and secrets on the Upper East Side. "Gossip Girl" just started airing on January 17th, however an early version of it was available to download from iTunes back in October. To be able to stream videos from YouTube to your iPad, you need to use iVideo. It means you have to have iLife installed. This app will allow you to stream content from both YouTube, Vimeo and Dailymotion.

ITunes can now be played on a TV with its own remote and the iPad or iPod touch can be used as the controller. Other features include a 10 finger drag, full screen support, HD content and subtitles. For now the only available languages are US English. The developers have planned support for other language too. The app supports the iPhone and 3G iPads. If you want to use iVideo on your iPad, the free version comes with ads and it will expire on January 25th.99 from the app store.99 the ad free version can be purchased directly on the website.

Why are Twitter links not opening in app?

Hi all - I'm fairly new to Twitter but have been very successful at tweeting to the community from my app.

Recently, though, the links from within tweets in the app (and from any app) won't open, just a blank page. Any ideas? I'll give more details as I have time.

I'm seeing the same issue, but for some reason the links for any twitter stream are redirecting me to twitter itself. This is on iPhone 3G (the only device I have access to with the problem).

Re: ? Same here on an iPhone3G, iPhone 4, and iPod Touch2G. Links don't work if you're accessing them directly on twitter.com through Safari (or MobileSafari) or if you go directly to the browser in the twitter website.

I'm using Twitter's official iOS apps and Twitterrific. The Twitterrific app works fine, the official app doesn't. That's it for details.

EDIT: There's a bug with links to twitterfeeds in the official Twitter App. Same here on iPhone 3G, iPhone 4, and iPod Touch2G.com through Safari (or MobileSafari) or if you go directly to the browser in the twitter website.

The Twitter iOS apps also seem to be doing this - not loading the link. You guys know how this works. They've already taken a crack at fixing it, but there's nothing they can do. Fixing it is part of the game of building a great API.

If you build something too complicated and too easy to hack, they'll be able to make tools for people to cheat you. I don't think it's a great API when you can circumvent every limitation they put in place by just going to the web site instead. I was using it yesterday. There's no way to access all of the data via the official app.

How do I open Twitter links in app instead of browser?

We have a few twitter links throughout our website, and we'd like them to open in the Twitter app by default.

We have found several answers for this, but so far the only one that works is. "Twitter.com/share?text=%s&url=%s", text, url But that's not always possible. For example, the link needs to be from a user - if it were from a page itself, "www.com/text/twitter", we wouldn't need to change the URL.

Here are the other solutions I have tried: If the tweet is created through our own application with user input, we can use this. And create a url to this as an image on the site. "//assets.com/www/images/external/preview.png?accesstoken=%s", text, url
And the result will look something like: And it opens in the app. In my last solution, I use this: "//mobile.com/v1/trending/inreplytostatus.json?locale=en&includeentities=false&inreplytoscreenname=%s", text
But it also didn't work (though it gives some errors). This one has an open url in the app As I said, the most direct solution for us is "", text, url. But this does not give any open url in the app for those who have apps, but just the browser.
