Does Hulu have discount for students?

Is Hulu $1 for 3 months?

Hulu's new subscription option has been a major point of attention in the entertainment industry over the past few months.

99 per month, it seems like a very tempting offer for consumers. Many industry insiders and observers have criticized the pricing as not being competitive enough with other options that are available online. However, we believe this pricing is competitive. Let's take a look at the details and see if we can determine if Hulu is priced correctly.

First, a reminder: The base TV channel lineup is Hulu Plus, ad-supported (in the default view), while Hulu with Advertising Free adds a commercial-free streaming of each channel to be watched through an ad-supported experience.99 plus applicable taxes per day (the price for two HD streams per day).

Here's how Hulu is different from the standard subscription services provided by cable and satellite companies. If you're a "cord cutter" and are used to streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu is a viable option because it doesn't force you into long-term contracts. While there aren't many other free alternatives, Hulu allows you to skip commercials with an ad-supported plan, or watch them without ads with the ad-free plan. Hulu Plus subscriptions also provide unlimited access to the channel lineup. This allows Hulu to make the content it streams more attractive than it would be with smaller subs in order to drive usage.99 per month for four screens.99 monthly rate. This is not available for Hulu with Advertising Free accounts, which limit the number of simultaneous screen accesses.

With Hulu Plus, content from various partners appears in its own dedicated section, meaning you don't need to keep tabs on whether you're paying for live television or clips from a sitcom like "The Office." In addition, Hulu offers exclusive video content and advertising, some of which is available for free.

Does Hulu have discount for students?

Not at this time (May 2019)

Hulu with Live TV may only be a bargain if you are an adult and have a credit card and don't need to pay taxes on it. I guess, depending on the state, you would need some sort of tax ID and proof of age. So, my advice is to watch and wait, until those issues are resolved.99 per month.99/year.75 99/month, though you can also opt for a bundle without the live TV service for a bit less.

Do the ads still annoy you? I know we can't answer all those questions with one answer, but if you think about all the different variables, you're bound to have a lot of good answers.

We've been asking this in the comments on previous reviews and on Twitter. We know what companies like PlayStation Vue offer. We don't know, however, whether it would make more sense to save for the next service or just subscribe to all.

Now, the good news is that TechRadar is giving the best deal yet. I tried all the video streaming services. If you want a full list, check out our video streaming guide .

We're only two weeks into the new year and streaming services already know how to get subscribers. I spoke to some sources close to the matter, who said that Netflix was "shooting for four million users" around the globe before the end of the year.

This figure is not confirmed by a direct source and could include both the US and the UK where Netflix hasn't been making much of a splash. However, if it's anything remotely close to the 4 million total number of US subscribers, it seems rather high.

If I wanted to be fair, I would have to admit that there are some positives to the numbers. Netflix is now able to stream a greater variety of movies and shows than ever before and the addition of 3D content could prove to be a success.

Still, 4 million is a heck of a lot of people. More than the total population of the UK and, if they keep signing up at this rate, they'll be more than enough people to provide competition for many TV channels.

Even if streaming services do get too popular, I don't think they will really make much of a dent in the market. The reason is something I've already covered: Netflix, Amazon and iTunes all offer a huge amount of content - it's simply easier to have your friends or family pick the title you're after from Netflix's massive library of around 150,000 film titles.

It makes no difference whether you sit there in the dark or watch it in the light.
