Why does my VPN keep saying disconnected?

Why is my PIA VPN disconnecting itself?

I recently bought a new Lenovo ThinkPad with Windows 7 Professional, and I installed PIA VPN client on it.

After configuring it and connecting to my work VPN (which takes time) when I unplug it and plug it back in it doesn't reconnect and it takes me to the "connecting" screen. What can I do to solve this issue? Thank you!

How to make PIA client auto connect when it's plugged in? Is there a way to make my windows 7 PIA client automatically connect when I turn on the pc? My current configuration is that I manually have to run the program and enter the information for my vpn server so it will actually start working. It's been a big hassle since it doesn't start at startup and I have to remember to plug it in before each time I use it. I used to use windows server and I use to be able to set it to connect automatically and it didn't need a username and password so I never had an issue with it, any idea why I am having trouble getting it to work on my PC?

Why can't I access a certain website after installing PIA? For some reason, I can't access a certain website anymore. When i'm trying to open up the page from IE or Chrome, it gives me an error message saying that a website can't be found. The IP address of that website works fine and I can open up websites that use the same IP address on another PC but not this PC. I reinstalled PIA and that website's IP address still works on other PCs. I have tried all different ports for that website but none of them work. I have used VPN for years and I don't know why this is happening. I have a PIA account and it was set up on another computer but I can't access that PC either. Please help!

Is it possible to connect to PIA using a non US IP-address? Thanks for this nice tutorial. My question :When you make install the program, which folder to install ?

Why does my VPN keep saying disconnected?

How do I get it to stay connected?

I've been using Tor for years now (since they launched), and I've never had a problem with it since. But I've installed the Tor Browser Bundle today on my Mac, and now I'm noticing some behavior I don't understand: When I connect to a VPN for the first time, it seems to work perfectly. It connects, I can surf the internet as if I'm not behind any network restrictions, which is great. But then after a few hours or days (it's not exactly clear to me how long it lasts before it resets), it disconnects without a warning. And then I have to connect again to my VPN to reconnect again to the internet. Any idea why this happens and how to prevent it from happening in the future?

If your VPN service only allows connections via IPV4 and not IPv6 you will also encounter problems since only IPv4 is accepted in OS X. Tor Browsers supports both so no problem there. You might not experience any problem at all, but if you want to use both technologies on OSX then Tor Browsers cannot support the native iOS version (IPv6). So make sure that the VPN you use provides IPV6 connection if you want to use both protocols simultaneously. Or disable IPv6 support in OSX and you can use IPV6 on OSX if you need it.

Why is my PIA VPN not connecting?

PIA VPN will connect you to the internet in the country of the VPN server that you are connecting to.

The PIA VPN server that you select is the closest to your location and therefore will give you the fastest internet connection. The PIA VPN servers are spread around the world in many different countries and regions. You can choose the closest one to you by clicking the Find a Server button on the bottom left corner of your PIA VPN window.

If you would like to connect to a PIA VPN server in a country other than your location, click the country you want to connect to and then click the Find a Server button. Why did my connection fail? If your connection fails, we recommend that you follow these steps to try and reconnect to the internet. Click the gear icon at the top left of your PIA VPN window. Click the Toggle Advanced Settings button at the top of the window. Scroll down and find the checkbox that says Enable TCP connection tracking and click the box toggle it on or off. Click the Settings button at the top of the window. Select the VPN tab. Find the checkbox that says Enable TCP connection tracking and click the box toggle it on or off. Why are my connection speeds so slow? PIA VPN has a lot of features to help you stay safe on the internet. These features also include a built-in cache, which can sometimes cause slower internet connections. When you are connected to the internet, your browser cache will be emptied so that the browser will use the internet directly from the PIA VPN server instead of downloading information from your home computer. The cache helps to speed up your internet connection.

There are also many things that can cause a slower internet connection on mobile devices, such as slow 3G/4G data speeds, slower Wi-Fi speeds, or slower data speeds when you use other apps such as Skype. How do I add money to my PIA VPN account? You can add money to your PIA VPN account through our website by logging into your account.

Is PIA having issues?

Yes, it is and its really frustrating.

It should be back up and running in the next day or so. I'll send you an e-mail when it's back and work on getting you access to your log files for the past two months.

Can we please just focus on PIA for now and fix these issues? I really think it's important that we continue to use it rather than having someone write their own. Its a lot less work and saves us time to get out there everytime there is a post on the front page.

If you're willing to go through PIA's files on the server you can get your logfile entries for each thread you posted. PM me and i'll hook you up.

Yeah, but what does this have to do with the post I've already typed for the newbie in this thread? And I still want my logs, and if you keep messing with my thread I'm going to send a couple of empoyees over to your house and get you all your data right? The logs come from the phpBB3 code and are logged at each post submission request by phpBB. You don't even need to do anything. The only way to get those from PIA is to log back into phpBB and click on the appropriate options. If you had bothered to sign up for the "access" forum account and then looked around you'd see that access has been granted so that you can browse phpBB's databases. There's actually a ton of stuff there, but not what I think you were interested in (and which is what is available via phpBB's admin features, I should add) so I figured I'd just direct you here.

A couple of "empoyees"? I doubt there will be more than one.
