How do I open a server network?
I have two PC's running the "old" XP client (2003 I think) and one on Vista Home Premium. I'd like to have a shared folder on the server but don't want any user to be able to log onto it unless they go through me on another network that I control.
In the network map, under options, you can right-click on the network server, properties, sharing tab, then you can turn off log on without prompting for a password on a shared resource or change it to something like ?/share? The default settings are still the best solution on all of our networks. There is no reason to disable that option.
