How do I get the app store back on my school iPad?
I need to go back on my school iPad but it doesn't have it. When I go into settings the only thing it says is download store what can I do to fix this? If I get the update from iTunes it won't let me download anymore since it says: This computer already has the updated version of this program. Any suggestions?
I was going to tell you to make a new school account, but then I read your second question and got a solution. What you have to do is create a new (or use an existing) school account on another device. Then transfer the apps and their purchases into that new account. Make sure you have backups of the apps if you haven't done that already.
Once you've created that school account, download that new account profile onto your school iDevice. This will bring you back to the store with all the apps you've purchased within that new school account.
See "Upgrade or restore purchases" at this link for more info: Also note that Apple will eventually require schools to sign up for the free version and get an upgraded one. So you might be stuck there for a while, but things will clear up eventually.
Do school ipads have App Store?
I'm just wondering whether any of you have ever seen an iPad being used in a school setting.
The thought that it would be a nice way to replace many of the textbook's with something like an ipad app makes me very excited. However, I'm not sure whether schools can get an ipad or not. Does anyone know if any schools have these things yet?
Re: School ipads have App Store? Hi There! I am a teacher, and my wife is a computer teacher. We currently have 15 iPads in our school district. I think the district is a bit behind, but maybe one of the other districts in our area will have some before too long. I can't say I am familiar with the school district you mentioned, but I would love to see a post about how your district operates.
The school district I am in is very much like the way you describe your district to be. Everyone loves the idea of iPads for students, but many teachers don't want them. We have had very positive responses from students when we first introduced the iPad to them, and most of the staff likes it.
We currently have 2-3 iPad labs and the students are using them for several purposes, from class applications, to writing essays, to web browsing, to creating digital portfolios, etc. We are considering introducing additional iPad labs, as well.

I currently have the school restrictions enabled on my iPad.
How do I get rid of them? I was told they were disabled when the new iPad came out, but I remember having to turn them on when I first got my iPad.
The School Restrictions are disabled by default and can be turned on and off by tapping the lock screen button and scrolling down to see the option "Enable/Disable School Restrictions". My understanding is that after iOS 8 came out with improved parental controls, the option to disable restrictions was removed, but they are still on by default and cannot be turned off. I don't remember having to turn them on when I first got my iPad, but that's not to say I didn't. Also, the restrictions are "disabled" and not "enabled" when you say they are "enabled". I remember having to turn them on when I first got my iPad, but that's not to say I didn't. Thanks for that. That sounds like an interesting feature in iOS 8.
In general, I'm not sure how useful these restrictions are for me at this time. They seem kind of pointless and I can't figure out how they work.
Also, from what I've heard, the only way to disable these restrictions is to connect your iPad to a computer and install some sort of parental control software. That's probably a lot of extra steps for someone who just wants to browse and check their email, browse Facebook, or otherwise use their iPad as a regular, handheld device.
So, if I want to keep the restrictions, but don't want to have to connect my iPad to my Macbook Pro to turn them on, what do I do? And, should I leave the restrictions enabled, and if so, how do I access them? I couldn't find any app or menu where they'd appear. Do they still show up in the Settings app?
How do I download an app to my school iPad?
I have a school iPad and the latest version of iOS.
How do I download an app to it? Samantha A. (London). I want you to know that this app for your iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch will be completely free and you will not be asked to pay a thing to download this wonderful game of word puzzle. Here are some useful and practical answers to the question how do I download an app:1) The answer is very simple when you use iTunes on your PC or laptop. Download an app can be done by going to iTunes application, then tapping on the menu item, open Apps, hit the Apps Store link on the top left corner, then scroll down and you will see the category you wish to download the app. And then type in the name of the app on the search bar and it will appear on the results of iTunes library when you are looking for that app. The apps can also be found under the heading of Purchased App. If you are an owner of any Apple product, then you are automatically granted a 30 days trial period of Apps from Apple's website.2) Another way to access an app is via searching the app by hitting "Search by keyword" in the web browser. There are many apps such as Google Play and iTunes store to enable your smartphone to search apps. There are apps such as YouTube app, Evernote app, iTunes store, App store are there for that purpose. But if you want to search the app through iTunes, then go to iTunes application first and then select the Apps. Next, click on Search App and there will be various apps with keywords selected and also you will see a long list of apps starting with Apple Inc. So if you have already installed the app on your iPad or iPhone then all you need to do is visit iTunes application on your device and tap search app, and the app will be displayed. This procedure is easy to be followed and we hope you'll get the app you desire.
