How do I unblock a number on my landline?

How do I unblock a number on a cordless phone?

My phone keeps calling me back.

If you are using analog cordless phone and your phone's callers do not accept your block, you can turn off the phone completely. After you unblock the calls, your phone will no longer call the number, even if you dial the number.

What is Call Forwarding? Call forwarding is used to prevent missed calls from leaving your phone bill higher than necessary. You can enable call forwarding for your phone so you don't have to manually dial the same numbers over and over again. The way that this works is as follows: When your phone rings, you get a prompt on your phone's display that says, "You have a new call, press to answer." If you do not respond to the prompt, your phone will ring until the call is transferred to a different phone number. After the call is transferred, the first phone will ring a pre-defined number of times before automatically forwarding to another number. The number of times your phone rings is stored in your phone settings.

You can change the number of times that your phone rings, which is referred to as the forward message. You can set the number of times your phone rings from one to ten.

You can configure call forwarding in these ways: Set the number of times your phone will ring. Select the number of times the first phone rings, the second phone rings, and so on. This option configures the number of rings that your phone will wait for before automatically forwarding the call.

How do you unblock a number that you blocked?

How do you unblock a number that you don't want to block anymore?

I have numbers that I blocked because they were from the wrong area code. These numbers are from the area code where I moved, but I still call them and want to talk to them. I don't want to block their number. How do I unblock a blocked number in my contact list?

For me, I don't really see any problem with blocking them since they are not worth your time to call and speak to them. I have a block list that I can not get out of.how do I unblock it? I have a block list that I can not get out of. I have tried using "unblock", "unblockall", and "unblockall all". I can't get any of these to work.

Are you sure that you have the correct information about the number? If you got it from a place like craigslist or backpage then you need to ask the person who gave you the number what city/state it is from and then go to the reverse phone lookup website to get that information. Once you have that information you should be able to unblock the number.

What happens when a number is blocked on a landline?

It's not an everyday occurrence, but it happens.

Often enough that I wondered what would happen to one particular number blocked on a landline. Turns out we didn't get an official answer -- but the FCC was kind enough to provide us with an unofficial reply. And the answer is

Nothing! Yes, it's possible that some phone company somewhere won't take down a number that's been reported by a caller to a 911 service. But if you know this to be the case, why risk trying to reach the number anyway? As long as your cell phone's signal strength is okay, or you're within range of a cell tower, you should be able to reach the number you want. When a number has been reported lost or no longer works, the line can stay up and the telephone company will keep checking to see if the line is still operational.

But for those times when cell service isn't an option, the FCC says this. "This is more of a 'best guess' question, but I doubt there are any plans at the moment for any action." And when asked to explain how it decides what "plans" to take action on are, the FCC responded by sending us a link to its guidelines for responding to public records requests. The instructions on what to do when a number is reported lost or unavailable don't say anything specific about taking down numbers that are reported lost or unavailable. (I have to admit I've not read these to see if there's anything specific in there.) They also don't talk about what the agency would do in cases where a caller does not make their request via the proper channels, which might be a good thing since there is no explicit guidance about how to respond to those requests.

How do I unblock a number on my landline?

I can't seem to be able to unblock numbers on my landline phone, as if the numbers are connected. I've tried calling customer service but I have yet to get a reply. They won't even tell me how to do it.

I'm trying to unblock a number that has been disconnected for a couple of months now, and every time I call customer service they have no idea how to do it. They have never had a question like this before. It's driving me nuts because I'm trying to call an old friend who is in a bit of trouble and I need to talk to her.

Call your cable company or the phone company. They should have the information you need. The cable company could be helpful, especially if you have a new modem or gateway, but I think it would be the phone company that would best suited to solve your problem.

You need to contact the telephone company and see if you can block the number. If you have any other phone lines, you might want to consider getting one of those "smart" phone so you can have all the numbers in one place.
