Why can't I cast Netflix to my TV anymore?

Can I cast Netflix from my Android phone to my TV?

I have a Roku and don't mind using it to cast my TV. But I also have an Android phone and would like to cast Netflix from the phone to the TV.

Does anyone know of a way that I can do this? "I'm sorry, sir. I'm afraid I can't do that. You see, I'm only allowed to use my smartphone or tablet to watch the videos on Netflix. Sorry."

Re: Can I cast Netflix from my Android phone to my TV? I use an Apple TV as a Roku, but it's also just one app away from casting from any other streaming device. It's an easy process and you can even cast multiple devices at once.

If you're willing to get a USB-C to HDMI adapter, you can plug your iPhone in to the TV and it should work just fine. The iPhone app works with all Apple devices.

But as far as the phone casting, no, it won't work. Thank you for your information. I was not aware of this option. I will look into it.

I would say go for it and see how you like it. It's super easy and you can have Netflix and Hulu both streaming at the same time. You can use your phone as a remote control too.

How do I cast from my Android phone to my TV?

So here's the problem.

I've got a 32" TV and a 32" Samsung plasma display that plugs into my TV via the VGA port on my phone. It works great! But I have some video file on my phone that I want to show on my TV, I tried casting it over the local network which worked, but then the next day I turn on my TV and it's on another channel with no video.

All the information I can find online is really old, and I'm running Windows Media Center 15 and so am not interested in trying to figure out all the codecs and the like for it to work because I do know what the format of my files is. 1 Answer.
Cable TV? Yes - TV remote controls are more user friendly, you can simply point and click to change channels and you don't have to watch for when the program changes every week and change your DVR settings. HDTV with HDMI? No - HDTV has the best resolution and audio capabilities with uncompressed signals - you can record one, stream one or watch it on the big screen. The standard cable TV has only MPEG2 with compressed digital video. The difference between an iPhone and the cable box is the standard definition TV is more like watching a slide show of family pictures - the same content but a better visual experience. Not very exciting.

What TV have you got? Your description seems to suggest it is a Samsung. If this is the case you can cast the video directly from your Android phone or via the internet (which I'll explain later).

If you are using a Mac for casting I would get it to see that it is connected to a TV. Now you are asked for the IP address of your TV and the Port Number.

Now you will need to connect your Android phone to your Mac. I usually plug mine in at night while I'm asleep, so all I do now is plug the other end of the D-Link from my TV into my Mac. You just need to remember to reconnect the USB before sleeping - unless it gets auto reconnected.
