What is the best browser like Aloha?

The current browser is Aloha.

Aloha is now supported by Firefox. I also have a browser that works in a little bit different way and it's called: Aloha. It's available for both OSX and Windows. The reason I use Aloha is because it takes less time and effort to have web pages ready for me. Sometimes I just open a link in Aloha and go on with my life and other times I use the Aloha search to find out something specific. It can be a bit confusing sometimes to figure out which one is the browser and which is Aloha. That's why I am asking you what your favorite browser like Aloha is and why?

I use IE 8. And there is a reason why. I tried to use Firefox and Safari, but the problem was that I wasn't able to use addons like NoScript. I know that Firefox supports NoScript, but then it's kind of limited. You can't just choose to enable all addons or disable all addons. For instance you can't disable all addons but enable JavaScript on every page. Then I would have the problem that I can't read books online. So, I did some research and I found IE 8.

In IE8 you can click to enable addons and it won't activate them all. It's an old version of IE. In the newest version of IE (8) you can activate as many addons as you want. But most of them are for ads. (AdBlock Plus) I don't know how it is in FireFox and Safari.e. Maybe it's possible to activate all addons as long as they aren't a security risk. If you activate AdBlock Plus you can't even watch movies and listen to music online. (I'm not allowed to watch movies because I use AdBlock Plus. I have to switch between AdBlock Plus and the movies.) It's a big security risk.

Is Aloha browser really private?

A few days ago I was browsing the web and I clicked on a website which I wasn't sure if it was safe to open.

When I went to view the address bar, I was surprised to see that the entire address was displayed: Not only that, but I could view every single page of this site. It was like the address bar in Firefox, except there was no way for me to close it. There was no "x" to close the window and the browser didn't have any sort of close button either. The only way I was able to close it was to hit "esc" and then type in the new URL.

So I just wondered. Is Aloha really so much more secure than other browsers? Is it really so private? I believe it's a question of trust. If a website knows your IP address, it is easy to track what sites you visit and who you are. So an IP address alone tells you nothing about whether the site you're visiting is trustworthy.

In contrast, if a site doesn't know your IP address, it's harder to track you, but how many people will use a site that doesn't know their IP address? In other words, the privacy of a site (in terms of being able to track you) is directly proportional to its popularity. When I go to a site and the address bar says www.cambodiaholidays.com, I assume that the site has no idea who I am, which means that it's harder for them to track me. This makes me more likely to trust the site and enter all my personal information, even if I have a reason to suspect that it might be hacked.

You can also get this behavior in some of the non-browser software packages on OS X. Like iChat, for example, when you open a chat room, the window has a blue x at the top right. Clicking on it closes the window. But if you close the window with the blue x, then you can type in the room again. So it's actually easier to access the room after closing it.

However, as I mentioned earlier, this is not as big of a privacy problem for most sites.

Can you use Aloha browser on PC?

If yes, with what operating system?

Aloha is a great replacement for Internet Explorer which also integrates web mail and video viewing. Is Aloha compatible on PC? It is said no, but I have tested it and can confirm that indeed there is no compatibility issues whatsoever. You can install it on any operating system, just make sure that the latest version is installed (it is not always, check if latest versions are added to download list before you open) and that there is no malware which could interfere with installation.

Is Aloha VPN free?
