Is Aloha Browser safe for Iphone?

I have a I phone 4 and the new browser looks good but I have to use safari since I need to go out an surf.

Is Aloha safe for use with Iphone? I'm not worried about the security issues just if there are any that bother I phones as well. I don't do much surfing and use facebook most of the time but I do like to surf a few sites. I used chrome in the past but I find it pretty slow. Thanks for any suggestions.

Aloha Browser on an iPhone is perfectly safe and efficient. As long as your iPhone is configured to use Safari for Web browsing, you'll be fine.

In my opinion, using Aloha Mobile browser (on any operating system) is like riding a bike. One that has been built for many years and knows all the terrain very well. But even after all these years of use, the tires (browser) need periodic adjusting and retreads to keep up.

All this talk of browsers needs to die. It's a complete over-reaction to the point where we will all be forced to use Internet Explorer in 20 years, just to prove how cool were.

It doesn't work any more. In most cases the default setting in an iPhone will be Safari.e. And if you change it to any other option, it then uses that browser. You really can't use any other browser on an iPhone, except for the old "Nokia" browser, which I personally despise, but which, in some countries, might still be used. If I had a "work" iPhone, I'd still use the Safari browser.

I'm looking to switch from Firefox to Chrome and was wondering if Aloha Browser is free?

I understand that it's an open source browser based on WebKit and the Mozilla engine, but when is it expected to be released? Will it be included as part of the new Debian releases or will it be included in the Ubuntu desktop releases? If it isn't free, how much does it cost? What is the price tag and is it a one time fee or do you have to pay monthly or annually to use it? Thanks for the help. Edit: Forgot to mention that I'm not just looking for free software, but a free, fully functional browser. I haven't used the beta yet so can't tell you about it but my experience with all of Aloha's browsers has been quite good. It's an open source browser, but it's also open source. Also, you shouldn't have to pay for it. They are a non-profit project.

I have a lot of experience with the stock (pre-beta) browser, and it's still no match for Chrome/FF. Not even close. It will have features added over time (there's a couple of beta builds already available). And Aloha runs fine on my hardware. And it's cross-platform, which is a big plus.

All in all, it seems to be a decent choice, given that it's open source and free. I'm not sure I'd use it if there was no option of a free, open-source, cross-platform browser that isn't a memory hog.

Well you can add it to your /etc/apt/sources.list file manually and do a "apt-get install aloha-browser".
