Is there an Adblock for Chrome mobile?
I want to block ads on a specific site on my phone. I tried the "Mobile/Desktop" mode but it didn't work. Is there another way to block ads without jailbreaking?
No, but it's easy to remove ads from sites you visit on mobile. Open the Developer Console and navigate to the Sources tab. There, you can search for 'ad' and remove all of the ads (and images) on the page.
If you're still concerned about ads then you can try one of the following, though I don't see any real difference between the three: Uninstall the Chrome browser app and download the standalone Chrome app from Google Play. This will give you full access to the device, so no need to install a custom ROM.
Use a virtual machine that runs a Linux distro. Install a Linux distro (such as Ubuntu or Debian), remove any existing apps, and then browse the web in Firefox. You'll also be able to view ads in the normal way.
Use an ad blocker on your smartphone (you can use an app like uBlock). Note: I have no affiliation with any of these companies.
Can you use Adblock on mobile?
Adblock Plus works on mobile, too.
It's only not a good idea to block ads on the desktop for a variety of reasons.
How do I get rid of annoying "Sponsored Links"? The main way you can get rid of ads is by installing the AdBlocker plugin and enabling the "Block advertisements" option. This will work in all browsers and on both the desktop and mobile version of the site.
But here's an easier way: The AdBlocker plugin also includes an AdBlocker-esque filter that can be used to block all ads, regardless of whether they're served from AdSense or other sources. I've seen your page loads speed up! How? That's great! For more information on page load speeds, see this article. Can I turn off the ad blocking? Unfortunately, ad blockers are a feature, not a bug, so turning them off is not possible. We want you to enjoy our site without worrying about any annoying ads.
It's really up to you. You can block the ads, but we hope you choose not to.
But, if you must, you can switch off the ad blocking in your browser. In Chrome, you can do this by opening the browser developer tools and going to the Application tab. Click on the Adblock Plus icon in the page resources, then click on the settings button.
Firefox users can open the developer tools and go to the Network tab. On the right side you'll see a list of domain names. Click on the one that reads AdblockPlus.org to open the network settings.
Do you really have a cookie that tracks my surfing habits? No, we don't. What we do track is your IP address, which is an identifier of your computer. Your IP address does not contain any identifying information about you. The fact that you logged into this site from your IP address tells us nothing about who you are, and nothing about how you use this site.
Why do I keep getting pop-up ads when I visit other sites? Pop-up ads are one of the most annoying things that advertisers can try to force their ads into your browser. Unfortunately, it's impossible to completely eliminate them.
Fortunately, you can install an ad-blocking extension like Adblock Plus and prevent this annoyance from happening to you.
How do I get rid of ads on my Android phone?
My Google account was hijacked.
I have to keep entering my password in every browser and I am using my own credit card. I also tried resetting my PIN, but that didn't work either. How can I delete my online identity and get back to a safer state?
Android is like a house and your Google account is your front door. If your front door has been broken open, the bad guys can come in. We need to know how they got in. Is it a key or an electronic code?
If you can answer that question, we'll be able to help you get back in. Without knowing what happened, we have no way of knowing how to get rid of the intruders. Your credit card won't help. You might just lose all the money on your account.

How do I take a picture in the camera without leaving a fingerprint? I'm a newbie to the camera. What's the trick? If you've never used an Android smartphone's camera before, take your time. If you see something you want to photograph or record, try a few different ways of capturing the moment. That way, when you do get to the part of the process where the best results are needed, you'll be ready. Here are a few ways to give yourself a head start.
When you point the phone at a subject, check if any area on the camera lens is covered by your finger. If it is, move the finger. Don't press down or rub hard enough to leave a scratch. It should remain sticky even after you lift your finger from the surface.
If you have a close-up subject, zoom in. If the picture doesn't look clear, go a step further and select the Auto Focus setting. As long as the focusing is successful, you will still need touch the screen to tell the camera what you're looking at.
Once you've taken the shot, don't forget to set the picture as "selfie". If there's a chance your fingers will be touching your phone while taking a photo, be sure the screen and camera sensor are clean.
