I have always had a problem with my firewall on iPhone as it will not connect to the internet.

It will ping an address, but not connect to any site, even if I manually enter the address in Safari and tap the go button. There are no internet apps running on my iPhone, and using WiFi the firewall has never been an issue before. Anyone know what could cause this issue? I want to find out how to solve it so that I don't have to restore my iPhone again. I'm pretty sure this is a hard reset as my original question is still there, and it's my same question on here. The hard reset on my iPhone 3G is only for the firmware I believe, as I did it a few weeks ago. How can I fix this problem? I'm also getting error code -10720018 when using AT&T. EDIT: Forgot to add the details, it is a iPhone 5s running iOS 8. The issue was my ISP with Rogers. I called them and the support guy told me to reboot my router (I've got a Linksys router), but it didn't work. Then they told me to restart my iPhone. It turns out that after I restarted my iPhone I was able to use internet again. It seems the original problem of my firewall wasn't with the firewall itself but the wireless ISP.
