Well, unless there is some third-party program you can install that will do it, or a jailbreak/root app. What about an app that works on the basis of 'if your phone is being tapped, it will sound an alarm"? I think that might work. As the app will have to run in the background, it could be detected by the OS that a background process is trying to access the microphone. So that wouldn't work either.

Just a thought. I've already tried that and didn't work for me. But maybe the app wasn't made correctly.
