7 Basic Forms Of Communication. How many of you recognize any of these? Visual Communication. Auditory Communication. Kinesthetic Communication. Verbal Communication. Physical Communication. Emotional Communication. Intrapersonal Communication. The first form of communication is using vision. When you see someone, you create a mental picture in your mind. People like to hear stories and will usually want to find a physical version of the message they are hearing. That's why you would have a sign hanging on your wall or printed out and handed out at an event, and why when you tell a story in person you always start with a visual. Visual communication allows for people to see what you want to share and then act upon that visual idea.
In my last video I explained how visuals can help sell more, and if you want to increase your sales and your business, you should have strong visual branding and visual solutions. Visual solutions and branding allow for you to build your business and sell more effectively.

Most of us talk out loud as we're speaking. Whether it's a monologue or a side conversation, we talk out loud as we speak and hear ourselves saying things. This works great for verbal communication, which we will get to shortly. But it doesn't work for everyone.

How can we keep the spirit of professional interaction even in turbulent times?
The way we communicate changes a lot. As soon as we start our career we encounter the need to interact with so many people on a daily basis. When I was a teacher, for example, I didn't want to interact with students, because they were my enemy for some weeks or months. I always put them through some tests, for many reasons, ranging from fear of what will happen when they fail, the desire to get a good mark at the end, the need to justify my actions in front of them or just plain curiosity. But even when I didn't like my students, I had to interact with them so that I could teach. This interaction with another human being is difficult, even if it is an acquaintance; this is why a lot of our personality is formed by the way we cope with the interpersonal interactions. The more we understand these encounters, the better we feel in relation to other people.
The methods of communication are diverse, and they help us to get into the innermost thoughts of the other person. They include: facial expressions, gestures, body language, tones of voice, speech, sounds and also nonverbal messages such as touch, body contact and gaze. To improve the interaction, it is essential to know how to use each method with skill, according to the purpose. It will beneficial if we make mistakes, because we learn from those. So, the more we use our techniques, the better we will be. I invite you to discover some new ways of understanding the others. You will certainly find something that you have never noticed before.
Let's focus on the 7 methods of communication. Words. It is difficult to know how to say something without using words. We can express emotions through gesture, tone of voice, silence, body and many other means, but we still need to make use of speech. We communicate not only by words, however. We can choose the tone and the meaning of the words, just as we can choose the colour of the shoes wear or the type of music we listen to. Words convey thoughts and feelings directly, which is the most obvious form of communication. But what can we expect from words? To convey ideas and feelings easily, we need to be clear, open and focused one single subject at a time.
What are the 7s of communication?
In the book, The 7s of Communication, there are 7 different types of communication.
I remember this book when I was in middle school. I would find myself staring at the words on the pages as I waited for my mom to finish her work around the house. I loved this book so much that I have actually bought it and read it through again. My favorite part of the book is that all the seven types of communication can be used in any situation. So, ?
Sender. This is the person who is sending the message. They are the ones that are using the 7s of communication.
Receiver. These are the ones that are receiving the message. They can be the person or the company.
Message. The message is the content of the communication. Medium. The medium is the one that is delivering the message. It could be the paper or the internet.
Time. Time can be a person, an event, or even a place. It could also be a time period of time.
Place. This is where the communication is taking place. It can be physical or virtual.
Context. Context is the surrounding that is involved with the communication. In the book, they talk about how if you can use any one of the 7s, then you will have a very good chance of reaching your goal. Let's take a look at some examples: Sender: You want your boss to know that you are willing to go the extra mile. You could do that by calling them or sending them an email.
Receiver: Your friends know that you love your dog. They could tell him this by sending him a note. Or if you don't know them that well, they could send you an email.
Message: I will pick you up after work. Medium: You could send your friend an email, or even send him a text message. Time: After you see your friend in the morning, you could make sure to call him right after work to tell him what time you were leaving.
What are the 7 types of nature of communication?
The list of 7 types of communication includes two categories, that is, the internal and external form.
It is said that external communication happens in this world through the use of words or gestures. While internal communication happens inside our mind or brain.
Internal Communication. Internalized Communication: There is no question about this one. Internalized communication is how we can communicate with each other or even with ourselves. We use words to speak to ourselves. Some people say I love you to themselves or I am strong. We may talk to ourselves and listen to ourselves too. This type of internal communication is very normal because it is not necessary for humans to know everything.
Intrapersonal Communication: This type of communication happens inside our minds or brains. Like a dream or an imagination, it can be said that this is an internalized communication. The first person we hear from is ourself.
Impersonal Communication: In this case, communication does not happen between the interlocutor and the receiver. That is, the relationship is between the people themselves. For example, when we talk to a person on the phone, we are not talking to someone else. This is impersonal communication.
Introspective Communication: This is the most complicated communication because it involves the self. Introspection is an observation of the self. Introspection means to pay attention to one's inner world.
Imaginative Communication: This is the communication that takes place in the mind or the brain. This happens when we make an image in our minds. Imaginative communication also happens unconsciously, like dreaming.
Symbolic Communication: Symbolic communication is the communication that is using symbols. These symbols are like metaphors. There are many ways to use symbols to communicate such as words, gestures, drawings, and signs. Symbols are also used to describe things that are not perceptible.
Systemic Communication: In this case, communication is done by an entire community. For example, we can communicate with other people by writing a letter or by speaking to them. Social communication is also considered to be systemic communication.
External Communication. Extrapersonal Communication: This type of communication happens outside of the individual. The first person we hear from is someone who has no relationship to us.
