This is only a rumor that has been spread by people looking to make money from those of us who already pay them monthly. They've said in other threads that they will not be dropping 3 year plans and they've got other offers available.

They don't have to do what the other VPN services do. They can charge for a longer term or do what we're used to paying them for and charge a single fee. We just aren't used to paying them monthly, but they have not announced a price hike for that.

You're not missing out on anything at all. If you wanted to pay less monthly, you could just change your plan and not pay the higher monthly cost. They aren't forcing you to buy a new plan every three months.

The thing is, I know some people that got the 3-year plan and now they can't even get a refund for it because NordVPN's website doesn't exist anymore. I'm going to see what I can do about that. I'll update if I get a response.
