The browser was designed for use on the web and has been downloaded by millions of people. Google is the largest advertising company in the world. So why is Aloha is a project from a group called the Mozilla Foundation? Because Google don't seem interested in funding development. If they did, we could write the whole Web in WebAssembly. But that won't happen any time soon.

Because it runs all the browsers in one process, it doesn't need to load the whole browser like modern browsers do. But it will always lag behind chrome because they are doing everything possible to stop the project. If a browser in the Aloha Browser becomes really popular, Google will simply put their own browser (which isn't free software).

The good thing about Firefox is you can use an extension that allows you to disable Google Chrome's tracking. In fact, I think you can remove Google from Firefox completely and use Tor and I2P as your default. I2P uses the Bitcoin and Tor networks to achieve anonymity. It's very easy to use, but requires more time for set up than normal users would want to do. You have to be comfortable doing a little extra time setting up this new computer. The downside is it can be very unstable.

Aloha Browser supports Linux, Windows, Mac, and Android. They are also planning to support other operating systems (BSD, BSDUnix, etc.) in the future.

I'm just wondering if it is possible to run Aloha browser on Windows?

I already tried the Linux version, but it didn't work that well for me. The Linux version runs slowly and has a lot of bugs.

Is it possible to use the Linux Aloha browser on Windows? Is there a version for Windows? If not, does anybody know why? Is it because Linux is based on UNIX and Windows isn't? Reason: Too much typing :(. When you get all your basic stuff in Linux, there's only a few things left that you need to do in Windows. I know I have been there before as I have to use certain Windows apps on my Windows XP. So if Aloha will work with Windows I am sure it would be worth getting.

I have no idea why Aloha isn't available on Windows. What I do know is that the Windows version won't even run. That's funny, the Linux version worked fine for me. It was like a mini version of Firefox. I like Firefox but for some reason Aloha is better for me. Anyway, Aloha is just great! It does all that I need it to do (I don't need to open all the tabs at once).

The main reason of why Aloha is not working in Windows is that it's NOT based on XUL. If Aloha is based on XUL, then it can be used on Windows. It doesn't make sense that a browser doesn't work in Windows because it is not based on XUL, XUL is mainly a development platform for Mozilla.
