Is Unlocator com trustworthy?
Unlocator is a website that claims to help you find your lost iPhone or Android.
It says it's totally free and that it has worked for hundreds of thousands of people. I wanted to check it out to see if it was worth the money, and I decided to buy their iPhone tracker.
So far I'm not impressed with their product. It seems pretty straightforward but I'm not getting the results that I expected.
Are they really doing this for free? Yes, Unlocator claims that it's completely free. It's not a scam. I understand that it costs them a little bit to keep the service up and running. But they do have some sort of business model.
In my testing, I found that they are not actually helping anyone with a lost phone. Yes, it's free and yes, they tell people that it works and it should be easy to get your phone back, but they're lying. They are actually charging you for the service.
What does the website look like? The website looks like it's made by a small company. It's simple and clean. I don't know if it's a real company or just a guy who's trying to make a few bucks from a website.
It says Unlocator at the top of the page and it has a contact form to contact them with your problem. There's also an FAQ page and a list of the features.
I really like that they have an FAQ page. I would expect to find that they can't help you with something and that you need to contact someone else.
What does the service actually do? The website says that they will search for your lost phone and show you where it is on Google maps. I didn't test this because I don't have an iPhone and I didn't want to risk having a problem with my phone.
They also say that it will show you any text messages you have sent to your phone and will tell you what numbers you have called. The features that they have listed don't seem to be working for me.
Is Unlocator the same as VPN?
Hi, I have searched high and low and can't find answer to this. I want to setup VPN on my desktop pc but I am not going to be accessing the internet from it at all. I have my laptop on which I do access the net. I just need a network connection between the two.
Is Unlocator enough for that? I know the questions I should be asking are probably out of place but any help would be appreciated as it is very frustrating as I don't want to go through with purchasing a vpn if it isn't going to work! Thank you in advance. Short answer: Yes. Longer answer: There's a misconception there. Unlocator doesn't provide any VPN-like functionality. It's merely a NAT firewall, so when you're connected to a local network, it makes you look as if you're on the public internet (the actual gateway to the internet), ie IP addresses are changed, port numbers are changed, and other stuff. You're still on a private network within your company, even if the network traffic is made to look as if it's going to the public internet. If you want that, you need something that can provide a private internet access. The reason people use VPNs is because of security, but your private network is secured already, by what you're actually doing on that network.
Does Unlocator work with MLB?
I live in Chicago and was thinking of buying one but it looks like they can only buy them for the NY area.
Danno. 08-01-2012, 06:18 AM. How can I get an application form? Is this only available for the NY area? unlocator. 08-01-2012, 08:07 AM. It's an online application form. Just fill out the info about yourself (and include an email address) then click submit. Then you'll get a confirmation email.
You need a credit card, so when the application is completed, just hit the 'Pay Now' button on the next page, then it will charge your card. 08-01-2012, 08:11 AM. Ok thank you very much. SebastianJ. 08-01-2012, 12:12 PM. Thanks for the reply unlocator. I also live in Chicago and was wondering how hard it would be to purchase one of these devices. Do you think it would be easy or is it like trying to find a needle in a haystack?
Thank you again! 08-01-2012, 05:41 PM. I don't know that anyone has ever tried to do anything similar, but it might be possible if you call them up and ask. The best way to know is probably to just call them. It would certainly be easier if you already have an MLB account, and there are probably a few folks here who have them.
08-01-2012, 07:31 PM. Yeah, I have an MLB account. I guess my question was if anyone has had any luck with getting one. Have any of you purchased one of these? I'm assuming you have to call them up first and then send them the info through email?
08-02-2012, 02:27 AM. It's easy to get one. Just go to MLB.
Does Unlocator work with Netflix?
Unlocator allows users to easily find and watch TV shows and movies online and offline.
We launched the unlocator for Netflix users in August 2024.
Since its launch, the service has been used by more than 1.5 million users worldwide.
The vast majority of these are Netflix users. We've also had a lot of success with our customers who use the unlocator with video streaming services such as Youtube, Blockbuster, and others.
You can find the answers to any question about unlocator.netflix.com right here on this website, or by clicking the green Ask an Expert link at the top of this page.
What is Netflix? Netflix offers more than 19 million subscribers around the world with instant access to tens of thousands of movies and TV episodes. Netflix started as a mail-order DVD rental service, but quickly expanded into streaming content as well, allowing them to provide customers with movie and TV show titles that would not normally be available. You can choose your programming through a traditional library of instant play DVD movies and TV shows, or you can pick from an expansive online collection of video and music content, with titles streamed to your computer or other Internet-ready device. With Netflix, you never run out of things to watch and you have everything instantly available to you right on your TV or computer screen. I have a Netflix subscription and I don't see anything on Netflix about how to watch TV online. This isn't quite true. You can watch a lot of TV content with Netflix, but not all of it. We have thousands of TV episodes and movies available for customers, but we only put the best of the best on the site.
While you can still go into the Netflix home screen and select Watch Instantly from the top left hand corner of the screen, you can no longer search for specific shows or movies from within the Netflix home screen. You will need to go to the unlocator to find these items. To get there, type in netflix plus the name of the show or movie into the search bar, or type in netflix.com/search on your favorite web browser.
