What happened to Orfox?

My friend and I just came across a comment section on this blog where you, the reader, made some disparaging comments about me being a foul-mouthed, fat ugly woman.

No surprise there! But since you've read my book and had the opportunity to get to know me, my point of view, my life, you should understand that I take any such accusations as an insult and an affront to our friendship, which is something I truly value, even if you are a stranger! As I know you don't give a single darn about friendship, or what I've written in the past as you can tell by my lack of any response, or anything else from me, except for this here book. You just read it because of a compulsion-a-lust. It's your thing and that's not my issue with you, so I'm not going to even address you except to note that I will not respond in any way to anything, anyone, or any site including your own, including other comments posted here. I'm busy with other things now and have not had time to respond to this person, so as I said, I won't respond. And yes, I do believe it's OK for people not to respond to me as they see fit. So now you know.

I thought I'd answer a couple of your other questions. How about the whole my dog thinks that I hate him. My dogs? What dog? This could have been from any time you've ever gone on vacation with me or when I went to school or anywhere else!

I also was not going to respond to the one comment because it was not made by the individual that wrote my book. Then a while later, a commenter came along who said that he had an idea for a novel which was a sequel to my book, and that it would be the ultimate story of two people who fall in love, but he wanted to make his idea his own and not take any ideas from me. In fact, he said that all of his characters in the book were actually people I met at my local gym, where we met because the gym owners asked me to be a model trainer for them. The same gym where you attended my book reading a few months ago.

Is Orfox still available?

Can we get a list of what still works?

What features are lost? There is no way to download, or I don't know how to do it. I have never played the original version, because there was a bug in the installer that was so bad that my installation was corrupted. It's been a few years now.

I am wondering if there is any reason why they would continue the Windows version, and not Linux or OSX (which would have the advantages of being free and open source). I'm not the only one who thinks it's pretty sad that it's all closed source. I know that I will miss the old games, but at the same time I'd like to know if it's possible to even download Orfox, without the possibility of it just getting shut down in a week.

If you have an original Orfox license, you can still play it on Windows, even if the game has been made Windows exclusive. The developer has to port the game to a platform (Windows) that they're comfortable with, it's really simple. When you buy the game you should have an option to buy an update for Windows.

They can't port it to a newer operating system or it would stop working. At this point it's probably not worth their time and effort to get it ported. The market is now bigger than it was ten years ago and people buy computers rather than consoles or PCs. It doesn't make sense for them to try and make a version for a new OS.

My question about the future of this project came from an article in PC Gamer about "Orfox Forever" . One of the reasons given is that "it's not really worth it for the developer to port the game to a newer operating system".

It's not really clear to me what the situation is. Is the game still playable on the current Linux version of Orfox? If it is, is there a way to install it, if not is it even possible to download the game? And the Windows version is still available for purchase on Amazon. It's possible to buy it from them, as they're not going to stop selling it, although the store description suggests that it won't be available in the near future.

The game was originally made to work on the OS of my computer.

Is Orfox and Tor same?

Both Orfox and Tor are browsers, but they are supposed to be very different from each other.

Tor's whole purpose is anonymity, and it has a lot of other features like onion routing, etc. While Orfox is not anonymous browser but it uses Tor for its purpose.

I want to know whether Tor browser can be used in Orfox. If yes, why not, what can it do for you and why not. If no, why not?

Tor and Orfox aren't the same. They don't have the same feature set, nor do they run the same software. If you had tried Tor on Windows, you'd find it was entirely unsupportable. If you have a Linux system, though, Tor should work fine.

If you're trying to use Tor on your desktop PC, either get a router that provides a Tor exit node or access it through a Tor proxy. An exit node will only exit from Tor and not route any traffic through it. A Tor proxy will behave like an exit node and also acts as a proxy.

In addition, if you're using Tor over HTTPS, you'll need to set up port forwarding on your router for TCP 443.
