How to configure DNS step by step?

I am using a domain name registrar which is not my own and I need to make sure that the domain is pointing to my server's IP address.

I have already created the A records in the name servers but I don't know how to configure it on my server (Ubuntu 18.04).

How can I do it? When you use a domain name registrar, there's a special program/script that handles the DNS configuration for you. On the Domain Name Registrar page, look for the green "Create Host Record" button. After the form opens, click the "New Host Record" button.

In the new window, fill in the "Host" and "IP" fields. For the "Host" field, use the name of your server, for example "example.org".

The IP field should contain the IP of your server. If you don't know the IP of your server, look for it in your /etc/hosts file.

If you don't want to use your own server as a name server, you can also just use the IP of a name server you control.

Hey, I'm new to this. I have a Linksys (or Cisco) router (don't remember which one) that has an IP address of 192.168.1 and an internal network address of 192.20-100. I'm trying to get my computer to route all web requests to 192.20 (which is the internal IP address of the router). I'm using a Linksys wireless PC for now. I can ping 192.1 but it can't ping 192. I tried to set up a static DNS address but it doesn't seem to work. When I type in the address into my browser, I get a message "Cannot access 192.20 - No DNS or Network Connections."

There is a switch that allows a wireless device to act as a bridge between a wired and wireless network. This should not be necessary if your WAP (wireless access point) has DHCP disabled on it's network interface. You should be able to enter the WAP's internal address (192.1) and have everything within that network appear to come from your router.

The Linksys router has built in firewall capability. You'll need to ensure that port 80 traffic is allowed through your firewall. If it is already open, then there is no need for a DNS switch.

If you have no firewall, then your WAP will need to be configured to allow port 80 traffic through it's WAN interface. So, if I understand you correctly, you have a wireless router (router1) with an IP address of 192. You want to forward all your Internet traffic to the router1. Is that right? And router1 is connected to your wired router (router2) with an IP address of 10. So, in theory, I should be able to access router1 with 192.
