When I had the idea for an Instagram account dedicated to beauty, I wasn't sure what to expect.

I don't think that anybody wants to read posts full of negativity or negativity disguised as fun. We want to be inspired. I just want to talk about it, make people laugh, get people excited and let people tell me what they think about beauty products.

How did this whole thing start? I had just moved to the US from China, so I was starting from nothing. I went through some pretty traumatic changes and I had to struggle through life. At some point, I was looking at this blank wall I didn't know what to do with. I felt really powerless about how I was going to move forward.

I had always been a student of life; I loved to learn and read. It helped me to get through the hard times. I was like, fuck it. I'm not going to struggle anymore.
