What happens when you text a blocked number Samsung?

What happens when you text a blocked number Samsung?

We'll show you

I remember seeing this number from my days at AT&T when I was looking for a friend to go hiking with in the Sierra Mountains.

It didn't ring on my phone, so I called.

And they said it blocked my phone. So I asked what else I could try. Maybe call it from a landline.

My old landline that was part of the same house. Which didn't work either.

At that point, we had lost all cell service. Just the two of us, stranded in the wilderness.

So we found a pay phone. I called the number from the pay phone. And sure enough, the line connected. It sounded like there were multiple people on the other end of the line, but at that moment all I cared about was the sound of a dial tone. It sounded so foreign and wonderful, a call from somewhere far away.

We could talk to each other, even if one or both of us would otherwise not be able to. I guess it's pretty obvious that a number wouldn't ring. But it happened again, and again. Like the number that didn't ring, there were no other options left. Maybe it was an emergency for someone who was getting messages from that number. All the numbers I didn't get for weeks because they were blocked. What if this family was having an emergency and needed my help?

So back I went to the landline. This time it connected, and I saw my sister's number. My sister who had just dropped the cellphone she had been using into the ocean so as to avoid the bill. Who didn't have a phone any more. Who couldn't make a call to anyone. Just to me, even though I should know by now that it would never go through. Or why did she need a phone?

It only rang twice. Twice a week, she called me on my cellphone not from her own cellphone. From someone else's phone. As her friend said, the number is blocked and I could only use my friend's phone to call her. She had to call from an unblocked number.

Can you see if a blocked number has tried to text you?

Hey guys I'm looking for a way to see if a blocked number has tried to text me?

Is this possible? Thank you! Yes you can check it easily and with more than 1k user at one time. You just have to install the latest version of Textra and set your mobile phone number on the Settings > Number > Add New. This way you will know who is using which phone number from now on and this app have many function, but the most important one is it notifies you if you are received a text from your blocked phone numbers. Hope this helps

Hey guys! Is there a way to block someone but know their number or to know their phone number? This way when they text I know their number (or even better) is not that easy to google their name. Please tell me if this is possible (at least in the near future with android) ! I would really like to do that! Thank you very much! Not that sure what exactly you mean to ask but maybe you want to hide text messages sent to blocked numbers from you. If so, just open the blocked SMS option on your device. You can edit/delete the blocked SMSs you receive by default without having to un-block the numbers first. You can then make it visible by tapping your account name at the top-right corner of the screen

Ok the problem is not exactly I think you understand my question is this. I don't want to see who called but when did they call. (Like today I got two calls from unknown numbers).

Maybe that's not what you asked but I'm trying to figure out what the best solution for this kind of problem is. I don't want to see who called but when did they call. (Like today I got two calls from unknown numbers).

It's ok you can try this: Open the blocked SMS panel on the device. Find all blocked messages. Tap on the time of the message, it will show you the date and time of the SMS.

What does the other person see when you block their number?

If you're not using the Google voice feature in iPhone's contact list, how do you block a phone number?

This post will show you the method that is safe and will not affect your phone. It is easy to do, but for some reason I am too impatient to go through this method and go straight to Google voice. There's no such method and it will simply be a wasted time for me to use any other method that is not safe. So you can just go ahead and jump to the next section now.

One thing I would like to warn you, if you follow this method, you might make your number show as a banned number. There is a way to remove the ban.

Here's what you have to do: First, you have to turn off your number from being connected with the other person's phone. Make sure you have your number turned off first by swiping left or right.

Go to settings>phone>contact list>block other numbers. Press on the plus symbol next to the number of the caller. You will see your phone number being displayed. Tap on the X button. Now, look at your phone's contacts list. The caller's number should no longer appear on your contacts list.

This will not delete your number's history, just the current connection of your number. When you call again, your number will be auto-selected.

Note: The method described above does not affect the caller's ability to reach you. Once the calling has begun and your number has been selected, the other person will see your number selected for ringing.

But ? Let me describe the whole process and tell you everything they see when their number is blocked. So please pay attention.

The person will get a notification saying: This is the only number that can reach me and their message will be displayed. If the person calls the same phone number again, an error will appear. They will have to start calling from scratch and choose another number to call.

In this example, I am blocking a number from reaching me. That's what the person sees.

What happens to text messages when you block someone?

In my case, I have blocked all texts from a specific number.

But does that mean that I can no longer receive text messages from that number? If I look at my phone, it says no texts in /var/lib/messages but I do still receive texts from other numbers.

If anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear them. Re: ? I think if your phone is on the same carrier as the original text, and your provider logs into that phone's phone number for purposes of text message delivery, then they will still be able to send you text messages. But I have never heard of anyone being able to receive text messages from a blocked number, so that's the only bit that doesn't make sense. As far as receiving messages from a blocked number - I get those as well as from all my contacts, who I block. I don't think that any messages from a blocked number is stored in the .txt file in the var/lib/messages directory on my droid. If it is stored, I haven't noticed it since I started using my new SIM card. Maybe if I start using it more, I will start seeing it. I've just been using it to keep myself sane!

If you have all your numbers one SIM card then you are correct. The "no messages" message is not stored in the .txt file, it would be a very short message or nothing at all. If you have more than one SIM card, the message is stored on the SIM card for the number that was blocked. I'm thinking it is a safety measure to prevent people from spamming you with hundreds of messages.

I am not saying that they are stored in the text file but the phone logs into the number when you receive a text and deletes it if the number is blocked. That way the spammer can't pretend they sent you a message you never received. I've had text message spam for the last 2 years and it takes my phone about an hour to log into and delete the messages but I still receive them.
