How do I reset my Netflix on my phone?

Why is Netflix not working on mobile?

(Yes, I'm calling it)

Recently, a story broke about Netflix and its lack of support for mobile devices. The story was reported by CNET and pointed out that Netflix has not developed a mobile app for Android.

In the article, Netflix's SVP of Content, Todd Yellin, said: We are committed to providing great mobile experiences and we're just not there yet. While I think that Yellin has a valid point, I do feel that there are a few reasons as to why Netflix is not working on a mobile app. Reason 1: It is not the biggest priority. When I was looking into this article, I quickly learned that Apple and Google have been the two companies to rule the world. And, while Apple has all of the money and the attention of the world, it does not mean that they have made all of the best decisions. In this case, Apple is making all of the decisions. If Apple wants to make an app, they will. I think that we have to give Apple the benefit of the doubt here. They have all of the money and they have all of the power to make their own decisions.

In this case, Netflix is not even on their radar. Reason 2: Mobile users are not the number one priority. This is the one that I think is a little harder to argue. Yellin said that they don't want to wait until they have reached a huge number of mobile users before they work on making an app. But, he did say that they want to work on it as soon as possible. This tells me that they want to work on it sooner than later, but there are some pretty big obstacles in the way of them reaching that goal.

They are not the number one priority. As far as priority goes, Netflix is not the number one priority for Apple and Google. I can't really say how important Netflix is to Apple, but I am pretty sure that it is not as important as apps like iMessage or FaceTime. I can also assume that it is not as important as the apps on the App Store.

And, as far as priority goes, Netflix is not the number one priority for Google.

Why does Netflix suddenly stop working?

The best thing about Netflix is that it automatically makes me want to watch every damn show on television.

There are dozens of series, movies and specials on the service that I would normally have no interest in watching. But because I have a free month of access, I sign up for the service and my instant recommendations tell me that I should watch House of Cards, Friends With Benefits and True Detective season 1. None of these shows intrigue me, but they seem like I should check them out. Maybe I would like them.

I haven't watched any of them, though, since I didn't pay anything to get them. And now I can't stream anything. Netflix won't even let me sign into my account. The error message that pops up looks like the problem, but I don't really care because there are dozens of television shows and movies I could be watching right now instead of writing this.

This problem, which Netflix says many people are experiencing, has to do with Apple's iOS 8 update that just happened earlier this week. It requires users to sign into their accounts using their iPhones or iPads. Apparently too many people tried to sign in on their computers with iCloud synced passwords or saved usernames and passwords and now they can't access the content on their phones.

Many people have written angry blog posts complaining about the situation. If you need help figuring out how to go about signing in again, I asked one of those writers for advice. He said you should just ignore the iTunes error and try it again later, assuming that the company will be able to make some changes in its mobile app or its backend that will eventually fix the problem for everyone. That's what they did when their userbase was down to a couple hundred, but not so much now that the number is more like 30 million people. A few people at Netflix are even threatening to quit if Netflix doesn't fix it. I get it. If I had a quarter of the service's userbase, I would have a fit too.

A workaround. If you can't sign into your account right now, it doesn't matter. You still can watch everything you want without worrying about a subscription service having some sort of outage and locking everyone out of all of the content that Netflix promised.

That's because there's another way to use the service right now, at least temporarily.

How do I reset my Netflix on my phone?

Is there a way to reset your Netflix on the mobile app?

We have had one for about 10 months, and it has been great, and I still have my password, which I did not lose because I kept it written on the side of my password pad. It has been great.

But my son has recently lost all interest in his phone with the exception of being able to play games and using a camera on the go, and he has completely lost the password for Netflix. Is there any way to reset the password? He is willing to try to get it back, but I really just want to take that problem away if possible. There are tons of apps that do this, so please, help!

I know this seems like a repeat, but I'm hoping someone more knowledgeable can help us out. The information above was submitted by the original author. All opinions are solely those of us who posted them.

Comments. If you log into the Android app, it should have "log in to the TV service" on the main menu. You'd then select log in to Netflix. Then, when you launch the app, it will tell you that it's log in to Netflix (not the TV service), and offer to reset the account.

I just had a very bad night from watching a movie at 10pm, it started crashing my entire phone, including streaming video and texting via google voice. After doing some research, I went back to Netflix and changed my password. After saving the change, it says I will receive an SMS but it never came. I've been waiting for an email that Netflix sent me after they changed the password. I found my old password, changed the tvpasswrd, logged in, resaved my changes to the account (forgot to do this first) and now, nothing. Still no email. They only ask for your email once during the setup process (again, forgot to save). I wish there was more contact info or even a contact page. If I didn't know better, I would think Netflix is a scam.

That's a good point, and I can't find any where it talks about resetting accounts. Are the password settings within their online management site the only thing we need to worry about? I don't see where it says how it will notify me.

Is there a problem with Netflix right now?

I am having problems with Netflix right now.

I am unable to select different shows from the menu bar or in the app, instead, everything is greyed out. This was not the case earlier tonight.

I can no longer select any of the items from the menu bar and cannot watch anything from the main home screen. My other streaming content is all fine, so it's not just Netflix.

It might have something to do with my account, but it seems to be working on other devices, so I am confused. Re: ? Hi, I've had an issue with Netflix today. It's fine on all devices except for the iPhone 7 that has been frozen for the last 10 minutes. Any idea why that might be? Also, when you switch to the main home screen, your previous shows are not available. There is a blank white screen with the name of the show, but it says "Loading."
Hi, thanks for responding. Just checked, and there are currently no messages about Netflix in the Apple support forums.

I did notice that the other day, when I was watching The Great British Bake Off (UK series), and then went to make dinner, I couldn't watch the next series, because the TV I was watching it on was no longer connected to the internet, and was displaying a spinning wheel, so I could only see the spinning wheel. I think this is what happened with you, and possibly your issue.

Now, even though I can't check, it's just occurred to me that perhaps there's some sort of problem on your end, and you're just not seeing it. In response to a recent thread, yes there is a problem with Netflix right now. This started happening 2 days ago. I can't watch anything on the tv on my Apple TV or any of my devices (2-5). I've tried several times now to restart the apple TV and it doesn't seem to do anything.

This wasn't an issue at all before 2 days ago. When I first noticed the issue, I didn't even know what the TV was showing as I just couldn't access Netflix on it. After 2 days, I now have to turn it off completely before switching to another input.
