Does Firefox work with Windows 11?

I have a couple of questions.

First, I am very excited about Windows 11 and am planning on going with the Microsoft Edge. However, I have been using Firefox for a long time and I have to ask if it will work with the new OS?

You are using a 64-bit version of Windows, and you have your browser installed in 32-bit compatibility mode. (In other words, you cannot install 64-bit versions of any programs because you only have 32-bit versions of Windows installed.) You need to stop using compatibility mode, re-install the latest version of Firefox, and this time install 64-bit Firefox.

If so, you may need to set up a multi-layered security software and I'd suggest you download the free version of Windows Defender from Microsoft's site. I'm sure there are viruses that will work on Windows 11, but that does not mean that they will work well. So, even though the chances of getting infected by a virus on Windows 11 is small, you still need to be careful and set up a system that protects you from the ones that you know will be used.

You can also download a free trial of Anti-Malware from Kaspersky. I am not familiar with any that do not charge to use their software. There are a lot of options out there, so it's a matter of finding something that works well with your computer. I am using Malwarebytes for a long time and it is great for general protection.

The reason for getting this error is that it came from the Mozilla rep site.

The Mozilla Rep site has a .exe file, but it's not an installer for Windows. It's just the Firefox installer. Downloading and running the .exe just downloads Firefox and runs it. Then you don't need to go through the hassle of installing it from a file. You can just download Firefox from Mozilla's site and run it.

Mozilla has provided Windows installers for some time now. But these installers were created from the official Firefox site, so they only work on Firefox. Once Firefox has been installed, Mozilla can create an installer from their website. (It's the old .msi installer.) These installers have problems with updating Firefox, though.

How do I get Firefox? The link above takes you to Mozilla's install page. You select Windows there and it will download the latest Firefox for you.

Once you've downloaded it, it's pretty simple to install. It will put Firefox on your PC without a single pop-up or warning. It will even put its stuff in the correct place so that the new Firefox has the same environment as the old one.

The reason why people like Firefox is because of the user-base it has. If you are an end user or are just using the browser for browsing, you will probably find that there is not much difference between the two.

However, if you are into programming, developing, etc., then I think it's really important to know that you have a different user base. In my experience, Firefox users tend to be a lot more tech savvy and are much more likely to know what they are doing when it comes to web development, but Chrome users are just as likely to want to know what they are doing. I do not use either one of them but from my experience, Firefox is faster than chrome. However, it is only a matter of opinion, because there are two opinions and if yours differs from mine, then there is no point in arguing.
