How do I get to Google Chrome app?
I have the latest version of Chromium but it's version of the app is still 3.
0.174. I googled "how to get to google chrome app", and there are tons of links. But all of them point to 3.147.
My question: how do I download the new version of Google Chrome app? ChromeOS. The Chrome App Store is what you want. The store will be on the device at startup, so you can launch the Store to browse all apps at once (you can switch between categories, for instance the Apps Gallery category).
Apps you download must be placed in the /mnt/dynvol directory, where dynvol is a dynamic volume that automatically mounts on boot, or you'll need to mount manually. You can't simply drag-n-drop an APK or APPX file into the dynvol directory.
Chrome for desktop. Google Play has not been officially announced for Chrome OS at this time, however it is possible to use the Google Play store from within Chrome OS by installing and using the Chrome App Store application. After installing the store, open it and search for your favorite Chrome Apps. This feature is also available in the Dev Channel (as of version 27).
As stated, this only works for Google Play (and Play Store) compatible apps; so if you get an Android APK and want to install it, you'll need to manually install it on the device, after copying it into the dynvol directory.
