What is TeamViewer QuickSupport used for?
This method involves a remote technician using real-time screen-sharing and video conferencing features of TeamViewer.
The purpose of this method is to allow you to meet your technical needs in real-time as you can speak with a remote technician on their mobile, tablet or computer. In many situations where customers are calling our technical support line and are not able to see their computers, we request that they upload or download video files of the problem so that we can troubleshoot it together in real-time. In most cases our customers find themselves not only quickly diagnosing their issue and resolving it with us over the phone but also saving a lot of time not having to call into the computer at another location. We have been supporting our customers for over 10 years now and have seen many customer scenarios where they are able to successfully and confidently diagnose and resolve issues remotely.
How do I make payment? To pay for the services you wish to receive we have created a new feature of being able to create teamviewer licenses online. You will be able to easily install and register one or more licenses on any computer/device with no hassle. We recommend paying for a couple of months at a time so that you do not incur the full cost of it. Our customer service team is always available to assist you to register your license and purchase.
Is TeamViewer QuickSupport safe to use?
TeamViewer QuickSupport works for any computer from a standard Windows machine to mobile phones and tablets.
You can use this service when TeamViewer is installed on the local computer, or via a connection from a remote server.
When you make a support request with TeamViewer QuickSupport, our Customer Service team will install TeamViewer on your desktop and use that version of TeamViewer on your personal computer to help you. If you need to access TeamViewer via a remote server (like a managed computer or an app in the cloud), you can choose to connect directly or use our remote control feature.
Is it safe for businesses? When you send a support request through TeamViewer QuickSupport, all the relevant settings you chose during the installation of the remote control software on your computer are automatically kept, so you'll need only one version of TeamViewer on all computers. You can even set up automatic support requests to be dispatched by certain hours of the day. If you don't want to get support during these hours, just configure the remote control software to not respond if people type their usernames into it at certain times.
With remote control software, you always have the option to close a remote connection whenever you want, and you can control remote access to your computer anytime you want. This allows you to do things like access TeamViewer on your laptop while you're away from your desktop computer. When you return to the desktop, your support request will already be waiting for your attention.
Can it be unsafe? We recommend that everyone uses remote control software when they provide remote support to prevent any risks of losing data during remote connections. If someone loses a connection to your computer while they're trying to troubleshoot something, and has access to your computer, they might start deleting files and this could ruin your business's work. If you lose access to your computer, don't panic! As long as your computer hasn't been turned off, you can always simply log in to your computer remotely using the remote control software.
It's possible to get access to your computer without ever giving TeamViewer remote control software access. This can occur if you let someone else log into your PC while you're out of the office, or if you're logged into the PC with the wrong username.

How do I get rid of TeamViewer QuickSupport?
I have two PCs with Windows 7 installed.
The first one has version 3.16077 installed and the second one has version 7.16076 installed. When I want to open a file on my desktop, I am informed by TeamViewer that the computer's OS is not supported. On both computers, in the "Add New Connection" screen, there is no option to set a different version number than 7.
On the TeamViewer website, I read: We recommend upgrading to QuickSupport 4.4 or higher (for other operating systems).
On the TeamViewer website, I also read: QuickSupport 4.2 includes fixes for several common problems experienced when connecting to Windows Vista SP1 (32-bit and 64-bit) and Windows 7 SP1 (32-bit and 64-bit). You may still encounter problems connecting to unsupported versions of Windows, but we believe that users on supported operating systems can now more reliably connect.
Since I have a 64-bit Windows 7 installation and I have version 7.16076 installed, and since the version on the second PC (that has version 3.16077 installed) does not include the fix for Windows Vista SP1 (32-bit and 64-bit), what do I have to do to be able to open files on my computer without being informed that my OS is not supported?
Answer: ? It's quite simple; uncheck the feature from the menu bar as shown below. I would like to thank you for your answer. Since I have not had any problems connecting with TeamViewer so far, I have not yet decided to uncheck the option that you advised me to do. However, if in the future I run into a problem, I will consider unchecking that option, as long as I do not have to wait for TeamViewer to ask for permission to install another version. It is not too often that I have problems with other programs, so I'm quite sure that I'll have no problems with TeamViewer.
When I try to run TeamViewer, I'm given the following message: I suggest that you reinstall TeamViewer.
