What is the disadvantage of Brave browser?
There is not much that can be said against Brave browser.
The most obvious problem is that a person gets a little free advertising.
It's a web browser and there are people like myself that will try to market the things they use. The problem is, that it will look like I'm getting paid just to recommend it. And that's not how we do business. We're always honest.
So we will go back to the "ad-free browser experience". I think that was good enough for me since I got to use the Chrome version before. It doesn't mean that this is not worth anything, but rather what I consider to be fair in a market where you sell things, at least in the United States.
Brave is an open source web browser. The first and biggest project out of Mozilla is that they are developing a software program called Brave browser. It is designed to make your internet experience better. Here are some of the features that it has.
No advertisements. The content you see, whether online or offline, is independent of any sort of third-party interests. If the publisher has a commercial interest in providing you with information on their site, it will appear as a form of text advertisement to you, to ensure you get valuable content, or you will see a message reminding you that you have no commercial interests. For example, on YouTube, this may translate into an informational message or it may show up as an advert.
You are in control of your data. By default, your personal data is securely hosted across a network of more than 40 cloud servers operated by companies such as Amazon, Microsoft and Google, and stored encrypted in a way that does not compromise security. You can easily move your browsing data from one service to another.
There is a powerful community that supports you. Brave gives users the tools to choose what ads they want to see, where they want to store their data, and how they want their identity to be used, without violating any privacy laws. This includes blocking the collection and sale of your personal data by companies that are known to be predatory online or offline, and also the promotion and distribution of ads for the websites you visit to earn money.
So, this is what Brave does, and here's what it does not do. It does not spy on you. It does not track you. It does not collect your personal data.

Is Brave actually better than Chrome?
I tried the Beta and the Browser, but still don't like it.
I think you are having an over-reaction to the browser. It is just another browser. It is not better or worse than Chrome. It does its job well. It's up to you to decide whether you prefer it or not.
You might need to give it some time to adjust to your current habits. Brave will take some time to get used to, because it is a new product from Mozilla that is meant to take some of the power out of the hands of ad-supported websites. It will be a challenge for you to use Brave on the sites you visit the most and then use it less often when you are visiting websites you only occasionally use.
As Brave continues to grow and evolve, I expect the UI to become more user-friendly and refined. Yes, it's true that all browsers have some features that are more difficult to use and that might make you hesitate before installing one of them, but if you are willing to give it a chance, you'll be surprised at how many features it has that set it apart from other browsers. That is a fair statement. Brave is designed to be a more privacy oriented browser that is ad-free.
