How do I find my blocked list on my Samsung?
I'm running the Galaxy S5 and for some reason, my blocked list is completely blank. In contrast to my older phone, on the old Nexus 6P (running Android 7) there was a blocked list with all of the apps I had blocked in "My apps" under "More". This seems to have disappeared from this phone as well.
I have tried going into settings and the apps section and that's where nothing is showing up, all of the apps are blocked and there are no options to unblock any app. I don't want to block apps from ever being able to use them, I want to be able to prevent them from being used, and allow it if someone wants to unlock it. I only got two apps so far. It wasn't even possible to block the store until about 3 days ago. I'm not sure when that happened or what I did to do it.
On Galaxy S5, go to Apps> All > Manage all. Tap on the app you want to unblock from your blocked list.
How do I unblock numbers on my Samsung phone?
I want to block my numbers from being called or texted on my phone.
By default, all incoming calls and messages are blocked on your Samsung phone if you've turned on SMS Blocking (this could be a different feature or a related one). Even if you're a Gmail user, you can only see your Inbox in the default Android SMS blocking option; and you can't choose which of your unread messages to block.
Note: Blocking text messages doesn't mean that they are all deleted, only that you won't receive them. You should still be able to receive unread text messages in your Gmail.
The best way to change the SMS blocking setting. If you think your phone might be set to not allow any incoming calls, please check for it. But even if you find out you don't have any incoming calls blocked, you can change this setting on your phone by following these instructions. They will show you how to change the SMS Blocking setting on your phone, but the procedure is the same on all Android devices.
Go to Settings > Messages > Select "Default settings." In the box labeled "Default SMS settings," press the menu button and select "Settings." Scroll down to "SMS settings" and toggle the slider so that only "Incoming calls" is on. Press the OK button and you should have your SMS Blocking setting changed.
Your Android version? You may also need to go to Settings > Apps > Default apps and change the default messaging app. Is there a way to get the Android SMS blocking function to work correctly? You can turn off SMS blocking on your phone, but you'll still have to sign into your Gmail account to read any of the messages you're currently receiving. So if you want to stop unwanted text messages, the best thing to do is block the number that sends them.
If you know it's a particular number that you don't want to receive texts, block it or at least change the message sender information. Then if you receive a text message from that number, it will tell you that the sender number isn't valid or isn't available.
If you're a Gmail user, it's important to note that you can't completely prevent someone from sending you texts. The only thing you can do is tell them to send the texts to an alternate number or a disposable number.
