How do I open blocked sites on Chrome mobile?
I have a number of sites blocked on my home connection at work (Chrome 37.0.2062.124 Mac). However, I use the Chrome mobile browser on my phone which is unblocked. How can I get my home connection to allow those sites, or to unblock the mobile version? I've read through most of the articles and don't see anything helpful.
If you are using an Android based device it will appear as below (note the 3 tabs): You can clear them by opening up the Settings menu and then clearing data from 'History' then restarting your browser, and clearing browsing history.
How do I enable blocked sites on Chrome?
I've been having a problem with blocking certain sites from my Chrome browser. I'd like to get it to work so I can have more control over what sites are blocked.
I have tried to look online for solutions but haven't found anything. I know there is a "Allow from these sites" button but this doesn't seem to do what I want.
I want to block a few sites including: AOL.com Aljazeera.net Facebook.com Google.uk GoDaddy.com GreeceOnAir.com Hulu.com Hotmail.com MySpace.com Newgrounds.com Oddity.com Parakeet.uk Pikmin.com Quora.com Reddit.com Slacker.com SpooksAndSpooks.com Snopes.com Squarespace.com Television.com Twitter.com YouTube.com Thanks for any help in advance! Note: I am running Windows 8.1 x64, so if anyone knows how to do it on that platform please let me know! It's not possible to block websites via a Chrome extension because extensions can only affect the current page (permissions in manifest.json) or if they're signed as a web app, a new page in a new tab (permissions in manifest.json)
Using the Clear Browsing Data menu item in the overflow menu to delete the history, cache, cookies, and data. Another option is to use a VPN. This will prevent you from accessing the internet unless you connect to the VPN. There are many free options such as TunnelBear or ProtonVPN that will provide the protection you need.
