Why won't ExpressVPN sign in on Firestick?

We've got a Fire TV Stick that we're using to watch streaming content from Netflix and Amazon Prime. It has never been able to sign in with our ExpressVPN account. We're using the Fire TV Stick as the VPN server and using a PPTP connection to the VPN. Is there a way to change this?

It's a shame that Netflix and Amazon will not let you watch on a Fire Stick because it's not always possible to use a computer. My husband tried and couldn't make it work either. I'm hoping this doesn't happen with your Fire TV Stick too. I don't know why Amazon would do this. I guess they're trying to discourage people from buying the device.

Thank you for your response. I think I have a solution. I've found a site called Firebox.com that sells a HDMI extender that works with Firestick. I just ordered one. It's a tiny device that plugs into the Fire TV Stick and connects to your Wi-Fi router.
