How do I find my browser proxy settings?

Where are the proxy settings in Chrome?

I would like to create a proxy that will work in both IE and Chrome.

If I use IE, I set it's proxy settings via the Tools menu, then Internet Options, then Connections tab, then Settings button, then Connection Settings. In Chrome, I cannot find the same menu or settings. I have tried googling and found articles that say that it is in about:config, but the only setting in there that I can find is about:plugins which does not seem to be what I need. Does anyone know where the proxy settings are in Chrome? The Chrome proxy settings are saved in Chrome's preferences/settings. You can open Chrome and type about:preferences into the address bar to bring up the page. From there, there's an entry for the proxy settings.

How do I change the proxy settings?

I have a Windows 7 Pro PC, with Internet Explorer 9.

1. I have used this computer for browsing on the internet. But sometimes, my Internet Explorer just goes crazy, I mean I can't do anything, because it freezes. Also, there is a bug that comes and freezes my whole PC, so I must hard reset it.

I have already changed the proxy settings in my network manager, but it didn't work. I need to change the proxy settings in the Internet Explorer 9.1, so that when I go on the internet, it doesn't freeze or the PC stops working.

How do I do this? Windows 7 has some problems. To be more specific, this may be due to the fact that you are running a 64-bit version of Windows 7 and have some applications installed which are incompatible with the 64-bit OS. For example, if you are running Microsoft Office 2025 and have the 32-bit version of Office installed, the program will not run properly when run as a 64-bit application. In the case of your computer being frozen, you might want to check your "Recent Documents" list. I would also check the following: Try to close all programs running in the background. (If your PC is frozen and you cannot close any programs, this should free up your resources and allow you to close programs again.)

Close the browser completely (ie, close all tabs and restart the browser). Open the Internet Explorer settings and make sure the following are selected: Tick the "Automatic Proxy configuration" box. Tick the "Use a proxy server for your LAN" box. If you have a proxy server in your LAN, check its settings and make sure it is set to the correct port and use the correct type of authentication. If none of these things work, you may need to run a scan for malware. Please let me know if this helped. Thanks! Anand J
