Some of the links I see on other people's app store applications seem to work when I click on them but not the ones I've put on my page. The links I can't get to do anything so far is a mobile view of a site (a google search for this) and some of the apps I've done.

I'm looking for a way to have a link open up in a specific app.
For instance, I want to be able to type: and it will open Chrome. Does that happen in iOS 5? How?

Why doesn't my iPhone open links in apps?
We were all used to the great open links feature of the iPhone.
Now that Apple have added a "Copy Link" option in the context menu of right-click/two-finger drag, my phone now opens many links in apps. I haven't changed a thing.
Is there any setting for this? It didn't used to do this. Can I reverse it somehow? Sorry I'm so late in joining in, but I too have found that this feature has been changed by Apple. There used to be a check box next to the "Copy link" text in the "General" menu of settings that made this happen, but now that feature is gone.
When you find yourself typing "copy link" into Google when you actually want to open a URL from your browser in Safari or any other app, this is how to make it happen: I have been annoyed by this for a while, and have tried various different ways to make it work as I like it, with very little luck. I just discovered I can do it easily if I open the URL in Chrome, and use it the way I'd like! To do this, open a URL in Safari, and then click on an image or a video. Then press and hold on the highlighted button, and the URL will open in Chrome. After saving the image or video, it will open in the proper place, like a "bookmark", with the "Copy Link" text available under the "More" item in the top menu, if the image or video has a linked URL.
-Drew. I found this way of doing it very difficult to remember, until I realized that pressing & holding a link will always open in the browser. It takes a little bit of training to get this down pat, but once you do, it's a great new feature!
