How do I block websites on Google Chrome?

I just recently bought this Chromebook as I haven't owned one before.

I really like it, but I hate how I can't access many websites because of Google's censorship. I keep changing the blocking settings on Chrome to no avail. The last time I checked my blocked list there were about 10 websites blocked. Is there any easy way to access these websites?

Thank you. I appreciate the help. Please help! I'm having a similar problem. I can't access some of the blocked websites. How do I enable them? Are there certain rules in place that would lead to certain websites being blocked (for example, all of the sites I just listed for you)? Thanks!

You may have different filters depending on the country you live in. And for some reason there are always some websites not allowed in France. This is only for security reasons, to filter the spam. But if you don't want that, you can simply change to another country with a more liberal policy.

The other question to ask is: what you do not want to filter or is completely unnecessary for you? I live in Australia and there is no censorship. We have a free market so websites have to be licensed, which costs a lot of money. Google has to pay annual license fee for Google Chrome and Safari.e. For Apple that isn't so, but their own web browser works anyway.

It took about an hour before Google started to update its filtering methods. Once they fixed their stuff, I got the usual Google result page, and everything was blocked until I added some site. This is a typical symptom.

I'm a UK Citizen. What are your experiences? Also where can I find out more details about Google's censorship system? Google blocks some sites by default. The main one at the moment is YouTube. YouTube's site is blocked by Google by default, so when you go to YouTube in Google Chrome, it won't open, because it thinks you're trying to access YouTube through Google's servers. You have to add YouTube.com to your allowed websites list.

Can I block a website on Samsung browser?

I'd like to block a website (not access it) on my Samsung Galaxy S3 with the new Android version. When I set up the Samsung Galaxy, I chose "block access to this application", so I don't even know if the feature is installed on the Samsung device or not. But now, I want to turn off the internet access on this specific device. Can I do that?

Block access to this application. Go into Settings > Security and find the Web Security category. Scroll down and check the "Allow access to URLs in" box. Tap "Add" and enter this address: Check the box next to "Allow access to HTTP-requests". Disable the WiFi connection on the device. In order for the feature to be fully working you should also do the following: Go to your Wi-Fi router's security configuration page (usually 192.168.1 or 192.0.1).

Change the default password if necessary. Make sure the setting "Block Internet access on selected devices" is turned off in the web interface of the router. If it's on, turn it off.

Turn off the router itself. Restart it and reconnect to the network. Enable the feature again on your phone: go to Settings > Security and uncheck the "Allow access to URLs in" box. Repeat the previous steps to add an URL. Note that some mobile phones have issues when trying to open a web page from a certain domain (eg ), but they are usually fixed by switching on/off the cellular network on the device.
