Create your desired name.

Before you can create your new Facebook profile, you need to first log in. In the top-right corner of the screen, click on your avatar and select the Log in tab. If you don't have an avatar, then there is a picture option that you can use.

Register as a brand. In order to create a brand page, you'll first need to be verified. You will be given the option to do this when you're logging into your Facebook account. Click on Get verified if you're not verified yet.

When you've clicked the Get verified tab, you'll be redirected to a second page where you'll have to verify your account. In that next page you will see that you need to verify your account with a personal or official documents. Complete the verification process. Once you've completed all the steps, you can access your brand page. You may not have full access at the time of this writing because it may take a few hours for some people.

Upload your personal and/or official documents. After you have completed the verification process, you can proceed to the next step. In the left-hand menu, select your business name. From there, select Settings. Once in the settings page, click Personal information.

Under Personal Information, click on File and upload a picture of yourself and/or a document. Make your first post. This is your business page. You'll now be able to start making posts. When you're creating a post, you should always do your best to be professional and positive. Do NOT share negative stuff about other people, your competitors, or companies.

Connect your social media. It's also important to link the social media accounts. Here's how: Open your post on Facebook, click Share. The next page that pops up will list all the accounts that you can share.

Update the information on your Facebook Page. To edit your brand, go back to your main account.

I've been on facebook and some other social networking sites for some time now. I finally decided to get my own site and started the process. I was asked to add my facebook account, so I did. Now, it looks like I will have to give up my profile names here (I posted some of the names here) because I can only have one facebook profile. I'm considering it, but not really looking forward to having to find out everyone's password and all their pictures and everything.is there any way I can do this without giving up these names?

The site that you're using is an internal site that allows you to register with your info. There are 3 or 4 ways to login, and with the most common I'm not 100% sure that you need the actual Facebook acct. That would just login.

If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. I know you can get lots of opinions. One person might have a better idea than another. I myself am still learning new things, but I think you'll be happy with what you choose to do.

Now I'm the one that has the "all knowing" answer! :D. I did some reading last night about the internal site that he used and they all suggested logging into through FB. I didn't see an option for "not using Facebook" so I opted to have my info on FB. I will however, take a look into those options as well. I am assuming that I will still have all the pics and profiles, since I don't want to lose my posts or anything like that.

Now, does anyone else think that it might be a good idea to create a separate page on FB, and then link the new site to that page, as opposed to actually creating a FB profile?

When I sign in Facebook, they ask what name I want to one my facebook profile. I want to give something more to facebook so I make like this: . That is the code that gives me the result. But the problem is when I sign in to my facebook account with my own name, I see my name (and only my name) in facebook, but when I login with "My name" they see "My name".

How can I do that I see what I typed on "My name" and not "My name"? PS: I am using php Facebook SDK. You can use this function in FB.getLoginStatus() to get a unique identifier of your own user. This works even if you have no friends.
