Can you block a specific app on iPhone?
If you use an iPhone, you probably also know that if a specific app wants to open the phone to another page in your web browser, it's going to ask for permission. This is because an app can't easily run without the user's permission. That's important. You wouldn't want anyone running anything unless you explicitly allowed it to. However, if you don't give permission, then that app can't do anything except sit there.
This is fine when the user can get around it, but if you're concerned about people getting to some pages or some content, you can make the app ask for permission more than once. That way it will only ask once. It'll ask once for opening the app itself, and then you can set the timer on how long you're willing to let them have access to the content.
It's not enough to just block apps. You also have to figure out how you want to manage all of this. If I'm the kind of person that has many different apps on my phone and uses many of them every day, I might decide I don't want to bother blocking each of them individually. That's fine. I can always go to Settings Block App, and choose any apps that I don't want to allow access to the web browser.
That's great when I need to block access to just one or two pages in one app. If I have multiple apps installed on my phone, however, I might prefer to block access to individual apps instead. That way, I can allow access to all of them except one. Or maybe I want to allow access to a few of them, but not all of them.
One problem with that is that I won't be able to use the apps on my iPhone anymore. However, I may want to give the apps to others, so I won't be able to. Plus, I could just download the apps from Apple's App Store, and they'd be available even if I didn't have permission to use them.
The other option is to actually block specific apps. Instead of managing access to individual web pages, you can manage access to individual apps. That way, I can block an app when I want to.
What happens after you block an app from being downloaded?
It has been blocked for some time and the user is not aware that the app has been permanently blocked. What is the app's fate? What happens to the app in question?
Well, I guess it depends on the provider. The main point of Android's security mechanism is not to just prevent. malware/hackers from harming end users, it is also to prevent. accidental use of "harmful" apps by other people. While you can always reinstall an app, I doubt a lot of people want to use this. feature every time there is an update of an app. The main advantage of the security mechanism is that any user can revoke an unknown apps'. right to access his/her data and/or take over his/her system by just. clicking a button. This means that not only hackers can't do much harm without rooting the phone, but your average Joe can just protect his. privacy and make sure that people don't hack him/her.
Can you block apps in App Store?
Hey guys, I was trying to find out if it's possible to block apps in the App Store. The reason why I want to do this is because I am on a low-end Android device and have no access to Play Store and I want to only download apps from App Store. I know there is an App Store in the stock ROMs but I don't like using apps that aren't from the official store.
I tried to use "Lockdown for Apps" but it didn't work. Can anybody help me? Thank you! Yes you can block all apps from being installed and I've done this before to keep my iPad safe from malware. Before doing so you will need to take a backup of the devices data via iCloud or iTunes and then restore from backup should you make any changes. Here are instructions on how to achieve this. If you are using iOS 8 or higher and have an iPad/iPhone, iPod touch or iPad mini then there is a new feature called 'Find My Phone' which will allow you to locate a lost device. You can then lock down or wipe the device and it will ask you to 'Wipe and Restore'. There's a chance that apps will be retained from your backup and you can manually install them or remove them.
