How do I disable a specific app?

Can you block apps on Play Store?

I am trying to block certain apps on my Android device. I don't want to jailbreak my phone so I don't have to download any app from the play store. I am looking for a way to block any app that I don't like. So, can it be done?

No. It's not possible to block apps on the Play Store. I'm sure that there are many apps that you don't want to install. But you can't do it.

The only way you can block apps is by jailbreaking your device. As far as I know you can't block apps on android. But you can block the apps that you don't want to install by using the installed apps.

How do I disable a specific app?

I have a few apps on my phone that I disable in Settings Apps. When I disable them, they do not appear in the Apps list. I know that they are disabled, because if I try to launch them using the app shortcut, I get a message saying that the app is disabled.

How can I disable an app without having to uninstall it? Is there a way to disable an app permanently? I just tried to disable an app, and when I went to Settings Apps, it was still listed. When I tried to launch the app, I got an error saying "The app is disabled".

I have an app that I disabled, and it doesn't appear in the list when I go to Settings Apps. I can't even launch it because it says "The app is disabled".

How do I force an app to block?

My app is not receiving any pushes. It is installed on a Nexus 5 and I am getting the notification icon but the content is not showing up. I have not changed anything application-wise. I have 10,000 of the same push notification and I can't figure out why it is not working.

I have tried: changing the expiration date. Deleting and recreating the Google Project. Deleting and recreating the Google service account. Cleaning the app from the app list. Deleting the app from the Google Play Store. Deleting the Google account from the device. Deleting the Google Play account from the device. Deleting data in the device. Restarting the device. I have figured out the problem. I was not using the correct key. I was using the key for my app, when I used the key for my game, it worked.

Can I block a specific app?

No, you can block a single app, if all you want to do is keep your phone from connecting to Wigle. So long as it is a wifi device you can only use one app (except the browser/terminal), since each app can control the wifi device.

Just install any wifi blocking app on your phone and set it to block all Wigle connections. You are done.

You can disable Wigle right from the web interface of Wigle, by going to Settings-All Apps-Select Wigle-Settings - Chain exclusions. Everything else works the same as it did in the question though. So long as an app is not already using wifi access you should be able to see it on the list.

So this is the same exact thing that I was asking about - using an app to block a specific app. I have no problem with blocking everything except for one app, but I was hoping for an easier/quicker way to do this as I will likely be needing to block a lot of apps. I know I can block certain apps individually that way, but this can lead to unneeded confusion as I often have to switch to a different app and remember what was going to be blocked and what can now stay on.
