What is a proxy address in Office 365?

A proxy address is an alias address that is used to communicate with Microsoft Online Services, such as Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Intune.

You can use a proxy address to communicate with Microsoft Online Services from any web browser in a secure manner.
