Why is my VPN connected but I Cannot browse the internet?

Why is my ExpressVPN router not connecting?

If you purchased a new router with ExpressVPN you may have issues connecting.

This is most likely because the ExpressVPN router has an older operating system than your router's operating system, meaning it may not be fully compatible with the router firmware. Check to see if this is true, and make sure you are connecting directly to the ExpressVPN server instead of through the router.

Check that there is a connection from the computer you are using, or your home WiFi network to the ExpressVPN router. If your ExpressVPN router is connected to the internet, try powering off the router and wait 30 seconds and try connecting again. If that doesn't work then try plugging it straight into your router and doing this again If this is not the issue, try checking to see if the ExpressVPN is compatible with your router's operating system. If you need more help then contact ExpressVPN customer support.

ExpressVPN routers - does my version matter? Yes - check your ExpressVPN router against our latest list before buying. The main ExpressVPN router firmware page contains a list of ExpressVPN routers which are compatible with our current ExpressVPN routers. However if you purchased an ExpressVPN router which is no longer listed, you can check out the compatibility of your ExpressVPN router by clicking here.

The only router on this page which is listed as Unsupported is the Nighthawk XR500, however if you check the version of firmware found here you will find it is still supported by us. It is highly recommended that you install an earlier version of the firmware as this will most likely result in a working setup. The only reason a router gets listed as Unsupported is when we have found out it is no longer being supported.

Why is my VPN connected but I Cannot browse the internet?

I made a VPN connection by the following steps.

Go to control panel > search > add or remove programs > find and uninstall the Microsoft program that's preventing you from browsing the Internet (In my case, this was "Microsoft.Network".) Go to start menu > network connections > view other connections > right-click on the VPN connection and click Properties > make sure the "Local area Connection Security" tab says "OK". Open a Windows Explorer window and find the folder "My Documents" > go to "MyPictures" > right-click on "Windows.png" and click on Properties > scroll down to the File Type column > change from "Image" to "All Files" > click OK and save "Windows.png" to "MyPictures". (Note: If you can't get to "MyPictures" on your computer, try creating a shortcut in "C:" named "MyPictures". Right-click on the new shortcut and click "Properties". Scroll down to the bottom of the screen, then click on the "Target" line and delete everything after the colon (ie , "). Now click the "Create" button and close "Target". Repeat these steps for each folder and file that prevents you from browsing the Internet.) Click Start > "run" > type "rundll32.exe keymgr.dll, DisableLanmanAgent". Restart your computer.

I made a VPN connection but I cannot browse the Internet. I can see an indicator "Connected to VPN", but I cannot go to certain sites like Yahoo Mail. I have also made another attempt where I uninstalled VPN through control panel then it still didn't work.

What is the solution? What I've done. I went to internet explorer > new tab and typed in IP address > and when I got back to ipadress bar there was no internet > go to control panel > internet Options > Internet > Advanced > check "Disable HTTP proxy servers". ? There are many reasons why your computer could be preventing you from browsing the Internet. You can use Network Link Localization to block your Internet connection while using Windows' built-in VPN service. Network Link Localization lets your PC know where the world is.
