How do I fix Psiphon failed to set the system's proxy settings?
I have a PS4 running Psiphon v6.
11. The reason I ask is that Psiphon is not set to connect through the VPN of the PSN when I start the app. I have to manually switch it on, then click on the "Allow access through the PlayStation Network" option and it works.
Does anyone know how I can fix this? It has happened before and I've been trying to fix it for a few days. The steps I'm taking are:
Check to see if Psiphon is there. If it is, you should see it's listed under "VPN Apps" under the "System".
If it's not there, go to the following URL and download Psiphon: Run the Psiphon Setup wizard. After you're done installing, you should have Psiphon listed as a VPN app. So, my question is, why does Psiphon not work with my PS4? It's really annoying that I have to manually change it every time I boot the game. It's an issue with the Psiphon installer. It runs fine on the Windows version, but when it gets to the line where it checks if the network adapter is turned on, it fails. I can't get it to work with the installer. I tried changing the network adapter detection to WLAN instead of Ethernet, but that didn't work.
This is a known issue with the installer, we've never had this happen on the Mac version. We will probably have to release a new installer that works with the PS4. In the meantime, you can install the game without the installer and just launch it with your PS4.
I also have a problem with Psiphon not connecting. I tried installing it on my PS4, and it said it installed fine. Then I clicked on the icon and it says it can't connect to psiphon.
Does Psiphon work on Iphone?
I've been using psiphon for a couple months now, and I like it.
Today I tried to sign up for the trial of the software on my iPhone 3G, and I got an error message. If you're a member here, can you tell me if there's any way to get this to work on an iPhone? The error was: "To use Psiphon, you need to have a computer on which to install the app. It will not work on your iPhone. Check the documentation for instructions on using Psiphon on other mobile devices.
Sorry for the inconvenience." There are three possibilities I can think of. 1) The iPhone doesn't support installing apps. 2) Psiphon doesn't support iPhone. 3) I'm running into a glitch in the software. If anyone has an idea as to what the problem could be, I'd appreciate it. Re: Psiphon works on Iphone? I'm not sure if they ever supported iphone, it's mainly a browser. They do, if you follow this link: They specifically say that they do support iphone and there is a direct download link for it. So if you go to that website, you can download and install the software. I tried it out on my iPhone last night, and it worked fine. It's funny, because I tried to install the iPhone version on my Ipod Touch yesterday, and it didn't work. Well, I tried it and there is a direct link for the app, but when you click on it, it says that it's not compatible. (The only thing I could figure out about that link is that it went to a site that was "too expensive" to host).
My iPhone isn't that old, either. It's only 2 years old.
Anyway, I did find a way to do what I wanted to do, I just had to use my wifi connection instead of my 3G connection.
What is the proxy setting for Psiphon?
I used to run it in a VM and connect to the proxy from there.
Now that I'm running it on my home router, when I attempt to open Psiphon, it tries to connect and fails every time. What proxy setting should I be using?
The question is the same, but for Psiphon. I didn't know what the answer was to that one. I am unable to connect to psiphon through my ISP's proxy at all now, even after changing the setting.
What I've done to try to fix this: 1) Downloaded the latest version from the website, unzipped it, ran the installation script, and changed the proxy settings.2) In psiphon, I had the option "use a different proxy", selected it, and then got a message "Proxy request failed." 3) Made sure that the firewall on the router was off, then rebooted the router.4) Went to the Psiphon website, changed the proxy settings in there, and got the same message "Proxy request failed."5) Tried a completely new network connection, new Wi-Fi connection, new router connection, new user account, everything, nothing.
So, as of right now, I'm out of ideas. I can't get Psiphon to work through my ISP's proxy at all now.

Sorry, but your post didn't tell me anything. It doesn't say if you got the problem after upgrading, or after your first connection attempt.
