Why can't I receive links in text messages?

Why is my iPhone not letting me click on links?

Is your iPhone running iOS 7 or 6?

If so, you're not able to click on links from the linksys website. The site is very slow as well. It seems like they upgraded the site and it is not compatiable with iOS 7. In order to be able to click on links, you must set your phone to iOS 7. Otherwise the site will load and then you can not click on links to the websites.

Re: ? You need to reset your iPhone. Try a factory reset first. Go to Settings and then scroll down and find "General" and then scroll down and find "Reset". Reset your phone and you should be able to click on links.

If that doesn't work, you can contact customer service and tell them the issue. I reset my iPhone today and no joy. Now, it's showing no network connection and no cellular connection. I did notice when I went to the site that it said 'no internet connection.' Tried a factory reset and even the SIM was disconnected.

If you go to Settings > General > Reset. There should be an option for "Erase all content and settings and start over." (or something like that). Do that and your phone will work again.

You just reset your phone, right? Try re-joining your phone through the cellular connection. Originally Posted by wapwap. If you go to Settings > General > Reset." (or something like that).

Why can't I receive links in text messages?

I'm not sure if I can answer my own question. The reason why I can't is because it's a stupid rule.

You have to go through your carrier and you will have to pay for it but that is not the answer I'm looking for. Why can't I get the links? Well when you set up your phone the carrier has a list of numbers they can call you at any time day or night. The list is usually set to just 8 numbers so the carriers know where they can reach you without going over data charges. This also allows them to limit to number of people who can contact you at any one time as well. You can only call back 8 numbers at a time in most cases.

Now if you want to send links or messages to someone then you have to use a service that the carriers do not have access to. If you just want to see what your friends are doing and want to let them know you are thinking about them then text messaging works great. If you want to send links or other media then you need to use a service that the carriers do not have access to and that is how you get around the issue.

Because they don't want to pay the bill. I've talked with them on this point before. The cost is huge. So why even bother when you can simply block your phone number? Or, if you want to try this trick out, try calling one of the service providers and asking them to enable you to recieve text messages and let you know which numbers to block. It's not very hard and I can promise you that they will be happy to oblige. And don't worry - they will allow you to keep your number with them so that if you change your mind, you can easily change your number.

You must be the first person to ask this question. It was probably asked before, and the answer is because the carriers do not want to pay the bill. That is why they do not have access to text messages. They are not interested in doing it. They know that they are going to get all of the calls and texts and they are paying for it. They do not want to pay for sending messages.
