Why can't I open links in text messages?

Why wont my iPhone open links?

I'm not sure what the problem is.

It will start to open my phone web browser, but it wont let me go anywhere after that. It just sits there in the browser, it doesn't do anything when I hold the home button and it doesn't even do anything when I double click on the home button. It's only open with a long press on the home button. Here's an image of the problem:

How do I fix this? I'm not sure if this is just a software or hardware issue. This happens for every single app in the store. It's as if they all require an update to be installed because they all don't open when clicking on the link. None of them work until I open them again.

It's a new phone with a clean install of iOS 11. I've also tried restarting my phone. I have factory reset it twice and a hard reset too. The problem persists. The only way I can get out of these apps is by switching between them until one of them works. If I hold the home button it only takes me to the home screen and not to one of the apps I opened. Where's the link?

Hi Guys! I'm having the same problem. My phone recently updated to iOS11 and the problem with my iPhone 6s Plus is still there.

Yes I did restart it, but it doesn't work. Try these before you call in to get a repair: Make sure you have the latest firmware update for your phone and that you have the latest software. Check your wireless signal strength and your bluetooth is working. Is it Wi Fi only? Do you have mobile data? - Try downloading the stock/factory update. Do that by holding the home button and side button and sliding to the right and then scrolling up. Try downloading the stock and factory update using the software above.

Why aren t my links working in iMessage?

Sometimes iMessage links fail to load properly.

This is a problem I have with a lot of websites: I type the URL in the text box. I get a nice blue message bubble saying "Sending." I click on the link and it doesn't work. I've tried resetting my network settings, clearing my cache, restarting my phone, restarting my computer and nothing has worked so far. I've had the same problem and the only thing that worked for me was opening Safari and manually typing the url into the address bar (so the autocomplete feature didn't work). That way it works everytime.

I'm using a MacBook Pro with the latest version of iMessage. I'm using an iPhone 6s running iOS 11.4.1

Any idea? Edit: This seems to be an issue with the current version of iOS 11. The previous version didn't have this problem.

It seems to be an issue with the current version of iOS 11.

How do you open links in iMessage?

I've been using iMessage for years.

As a regular user, I'm aware that it doesn't have a browser or other apps, so how do you open links? The question is, how do you open a link in iMessage? The answer is, you don't. You don't need to open links.

However, if you need to do so, the best way to open a link in iMessage is to: Drag the URL to your Mac's desktop or Finder. Start typing URL or URL Shortcut and hit Return to open the Open with dialog box. Then choose URL Shortcut and select the URL on the desktop or Finder. From there, start typing URL or URL Shortcut to open the Open with dialog box. Select the URL from the desktop or Finder, and select URL Shortcut.

IMessage is a chat app on the Mac, iPad, iPhone and Apple Watch. It doesn't have a browser or other apps, and there's no web browser or URL shortener or anything like that.

If you want to open links in iMessage, then you must use another app to do so. And the only other apps I know of are Safari and Safari View Controller. If you need to open a link, then you can use Safari or Safari View Controller to do so.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions or feedback. Thanks for reading.
