How do I find links sent to my iPhone messages?
I have an iPhone 3G and recently when I received an email message it automatically added a link to a website on my phone.
I thought this was a great idea and I like to go to the website if I am interested in whatever it is. The problem is when I go to the website the link goes to the correct page but it takes me to the back page of the website where it says "Loading. The website works fine in Safari and in my browser. It also works fine when I forward the message to my desktop email. I have tried disabling link preview but it doesn't change anything.
I'm really new to this so I hope that someone can help me figure this out. Thanks for your time. Joe-b. May 11, 2025 08:17 PM. Re: ? I was able to do some searching and found some solutions. You need to reset your email client. I'm not sure how to do this on your phone. You can get it from
Or if you have an iPod Touch try this solution: "If your phone gets stuck at the loading screen, click the home button twice to exit from the application, then press and hold the power button for 30 seconds until the device shuts down. This resets the device and brings it back to the original factory setting. To access the home screen, press and hold the home button for five seconds."
Thanks for the response. I had already checked those solutions but I didn't know they would work.
You could also use the "Mail" program on your computer to look at the messages you are getting. Your emails will be listed in a folder by name and there should be a link or something to view the actual message.
In mail on your computer, go to "View" and select "Folder List" and then select "Select". You will see all of the folders from your iphone in one list.
Why is my iPhone not receiving some text messages?
My iPhone 4 is not receiving some text messages and I do not know why.
It is only happening with a few contacts, most of my contacts are receiving their texts fine. My iPhone is always on and has always worked fine. I have also tried setting the settings to receive everything and it did not work. I also have tried resetting my phone, but it still will not work. I have also tried sending them a text message to test, and it does not receive that either. What could be the problem?
Try restarting the phone and see if the problem is still there. If the problem still exists after this, then you may have to reset the phone by pressing and holding the power button for a few seconds until you see the Apple logo and a white screen.
Then you will have to download all of your contacts from the phone onto the computer and then sync the contacts again. If this still doesn't work, then you may need to restore your phone to the factory settings.
If you are having trouble doing this, I recommend downloading the free iFunBox app from the iTunes store. It will restore your phone to the factory settings very easily.
If you still can't get the problem fixed, then you will have to get it fixed by a technician. IPhone not receiving any text messages? Hi, I have an iPhone 4 which I bought two years ago. Recently it stopped receiving text messages. It seems to be only a problem with the most recent number of people that I have contacted. This includes family members and business contacts. I have turned on/off the "receive all messages" on my phone and it is still not working. I have reset the phone, deleted the phone number from the contact list and also attempted to change the number associated with the contact. The person I have been trying to contact has also been getting a message from me that my phone is out of service and that I am "trying to send a message". When I press the message button, I get a message that the message cannot be sent. I have not been able to reach the person by phone. I have also tried to send an SMS to the number and it is not being received. I have checked the settings on my phone and they seem to be correct. Can anyone please help me?
Why are links not working in text on iPhone?
Recently I was writing an article in HTML5-based blog.
It turns out that HTML 4.01, the version of HTML used for my iPhone, is not playing nice with links.
The only way for me to make a link work was by using a div with text and adding the link within that div. This worked on most desktop browsers.
However, iOS is one browser that does not play nicely with HTML. Links in text does not work on iPhones and other iOS devices.
Below is my example (iPhone, no HTML 5): What is happening here is that the link gets truncated. Since there is no href value, it displays the normal text value rather than pointing the reader to another page.
On Safari on a Mac, however, things work as expected, both displaying a link as well as pointing the user to the appropriate URL. I have tried Safari 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7 on a Mac. It doesn't matter what version of the browser, this issue seems to always happen.
I have tried several other ways of formatting a link within the text, but none work. The following will not work for iPhone: Links will not work inside a paragraph like this or like this. Links will not work within a list of some kind like this. Links will not work for bullets like this. Links will not work within a link. Any ideas? I need to have my text look like the example above with the links (so that my readers can still tap the links without being taken out of the flow of my text). Thanks! If you are really stuck with that formatting that's no way to go. You could always use a with a background image for those situations. This way you can still style the text but the actual URL is not important.
Text Here. . Try using the tag instead of div tags. That should give the links a more proper display when the site loads, which is more useful when you're trying to write a website to view on mobile.
