How do I get CSR for SSL certificate?

How do I get CSR for SSL certificate?

We got our SSL certificate signed by a trusted CA and we got the "certificate signed by" popup in browsers.

What is CAA (Certificate Authority Authorization)? CAA can be used to confirm that the certificate was signed by an organisation the client trusts, however does not prove the certificate was signed by the appropriate authority. CAA will tell the server that the certificate has been signed by an authorised CWe can't find any information on CAA on their website.

Is there a way to prevent spoofing or MITM attacks? You should be able to use the SNI extension to verify the original source of a connection, since that extension will be negotiated between clients and servers. If all you see are certificate errors, then it is probably a MITM attack.

Can we use the same certificate for both SSL and HTTP connections? No, with today's security issues this is impractical. The certificates must be unique per site, and different for HTTP and HTTPS.

We're about to do an upgrade and we want to keep using the old SSL certificate. We need a new certificate but we don't have time to change our DNS records, update our Apache modules etc. How can we keep using the old SSL certificate?

If your company only supports a single domain name, you should create a DNS record for your old domain name, pointing to the new server, and use that. Then you can change your Apache directives in one place (as opposed to every single file), without the need for a live data migration.

What is CSR tool?

The company is looking for someone to join their team to work on a small tool called the CSR (Continuous and Semi-Regular) Tool. The tool helps us maintain our existing database of client companies to ensure we know the contact information for each of our clients' customers at any time. These data updates are sent out monthly, so the company is looking for a semi-regular worker that can update the data at that time.

They are looking for someone with experience in writing SQL or Python code. They also want someone who can work independently but also be part of a team.

Will this work for me? What kind of experience do I have? How will I feel working for a company that has a strong CSR policy? This is a perfect opportunity for you if you're looking for a regular job, and it's also a great opportunity for you if you're a freelancer. There are many reasons why this would be perfect for you, so I'd like to make a few points to help you decide which one it is for you.

I'll start off with the fact that you're freelancing because there is no regular hours, just semi-regular hours. You'll be able to make your own hours, but you're also expected to be available during the time that the company wants you to be available. Also, you're going to be helping a small company out and they expect to take advantage of you, so it makes sense that you can work for them. The amount that they pay you for this job is very high, but I believe that is completely reasonable.

So in summary, if you're freelancing, you can work very much like you do today, but you'll need to be able to communicate with your clients and make sure that the job gets done on time.

How do I generate CSR using DigiCert utility?

I am generating a new CSR using DigiCert.

I have followed the steps in the website as mentioned below.

Log in to the DigiCert application. Click on Get a Certificate. If you want to generate a new certificate, click on New Certificate. A dialog box will appear which is asking for the details of the desired certificate. After filling the details you want to use, click on OK. A Certificate Signing Request (CSR) will be displayed on the screen. You can save the CSR using File > Save as. Please look the screen shot which I have attached in the above link. I am generating a new certificate using New Certificate option but I am unable to proceed further because of the below error screen I have gone through the steps mentioned in the website and the error which I am getting is very weird. Please help me to fix this error and proceed further to generate the CSR. I just solved this issue by updating the Java version on my system to 1.8 from 1.7. I am not sure if this works for all types of certificates or not, but it solved the issue for me.
