How do I change my location in Amazon Prime?
I want to set my location in United Kingdom.
I have an LG G6. Thank you!
Answer. Hi, your email is very important to us as it contains important information to understand and solve your issues with the Amazon app or service. We need to make sure that our emails are addressed to the correct email address.
Since your email account was linked with an incorrect address on this device, we would like to know what email account you use on this device and what email account was set on this device in the past. Kindly provide more details via a new support request. We'll be happy to help you.
The email address that was previously set on this device will no longer work to submit emails for new devices or to Amazon services. If you use a separate email address to access Amazon services, please make sure to enable email for this address from the Amazon app on your Android smartphone.
How do I enable email in the Amazon app? Please advise me! How can I connect the SIM card to the device? Can you provide more details, please? For example, what phone model is this, and where exactly can you not connect the SIM card? And, how do you use it? You can connect your SIM card by inserting it in the slot of your smartphone. Then, turn on your device. If the device detects that your SIM card is not connected, it will offer to install apps to your phone. Connect the SIM card by selecting the SIM card icon in the lower left corner. If you get problems after connecting your SIM card, you can install apps to the card. This way, you will be able to choose the app you would like to install.
We'll make sure your email will be directed to your registered email. Please contact the local Amazon Support team for further help.
Why Amazon Prime blocks VPN?
I have been using Amazon Prime and their VPN service for a while now.
I also use NordVPN at home, but I have a problem when I use the VPN on the Kindle Fire that I get an error message saying that the connection could not be established and if I reset the Kindle then it works. I also have this issue with the Fire HD 8 (and it's not really an issue for me since I don't have one). I wonder if the Kindle Fire is blocked because of the Amazon Prime program? I really hate Amazon's program and have stopped using their services.
Re: Amazon Prime blocks VPN? When you log into the Amazon Prime app, you are only using the app on your Kindle, or you would have to use the Amazon App on your PC to purchase something. It sounds like you might be having a DNS issue, so when you try to use a VPN, your Kindle is unable to resolve the domain. It should not be an issue if you are using a VPN.
Do you have any other programs installed that might interfere with the VPN on your Kindle? You might try turning off your VPN service and use it for a few days to see if it happens again. If it doesn't happen again, you can turn on your VPN service and it will work fine.
Hi all! After reading through these posts, I decided to try a few things. I am using the VPN service on my PC, I have not had any issues in the past, but then I found out that the Kindle Fire has an issue where it only allows me to use the app one time. The second time that I try to use the app, I get the error message that the connection could not be established. I tried resetting the Fire and that didn't help either. I did find out that if I go to the Amazon App Store and do a search for the "Amazon App" then the Kindle Fire is listed. This means that the Amazon app is still working. Is there anything else that could cause this issue?
The only thing I can think of is that Amazon is probably blocking the VPN on purpose. I've read that some people use the Amazon VPN to browse the web.
Why would Amazon block VPNs? They aren't in their interests to do so.
Can VPN work with Amazon Prime?
I tried and it didn't work.
Is that because the VPN you are using is free?
Amazon Prime subscribers get free access to all AWS services (including AWS VPN), but they have limitations on the amount of data they can use. Their use-by date is "1 year from date of first use".
Some VPN providers, such as Private Internet Access (who are often recommended for VPN use because they are affordable, secure and trustworthy), limit usage to 500 megabytes per month. So they won't work with Amazon Prime.
It's unfortunate, but at the moment, VPN services like Private Internet Access are expensive. Their main benefit over other services like HMA, which let you use your AWS account without paying anything, is a longer period of time in which you can use it. However, once you're over that time period, it's back to the expensive world.
How to trick Amazon Prime Video location?
I've downloaded and installed Amazon Prime Video on my laptop, but somehow, when I try to watch it, it loads in some strange area in the US (in my case, a small town), or in some other weird location - like a place which has absolutely nothing to do with that movie. Is there any trick for this? It's very annoying and I have no idea why I can't watch the movie as I wish. I have all rights to watch it, my Amazon Prime account is valid, nothing strange there.
Amazon video is very frustrating. I have to download it from the website and then click Install on my device and then the screen changes from "watch movie" to "find an empty area where the movie can be found".
It's very hard to work like that. I think there should be a way to download the movie directly from the website without opening Amazon video app, that would be really nice, but I don't know how to do it.
The problem with Amazon Video is that you have to choose a certain area where you want to search for the movie you want to watch. If you pick a different area like you are in London, you are presented with a list of cities near your position. There is no way to download the movie from the list and watch it on your device.
The only way to watch the movie I tried on Amazon was by picking a location that I could not be located and watching the movie. If I had paid for the movie with my credit card before, the video shows the movie on my phone after installation. So if there is a download button on Amazon Video, I should be able to watch the movie on my computer in my hometown and then I can finish watching it later. I also face the same issue. For Example: I download the movie to my computer, and the option to watch it shows up. Once I click play, it just shows me blank space in the USA, even though I am in a different country!
