Can you get Nord VPN on Switch?
(no, not really)
I'm currently in Germany, at a VPN provider I normally trust and use. They are not supporting any Android smartphone for today. I think this is because Google Play works with other countries on the device as well as the SIM card/network.
My question: Is it possible to access Nord VPN from the Switch while using a SIM card provided by the German carrier (Tele2). That means I would connect to Google/Apple/Play/etc., from Germany and Nord VPN will still work. I've asked the company if there was any chance but haven't had answer yet.
I'm actually looking at getting the Switch (no regrets of buying a used one), and I think its a good idea to know whether I can access Nord VPN that way. I've not heard of this option for your situation before, never mind the lack of a definitive answer. I do hope we'll get one! I think this is possible. In the UK I could configure my switch with an LTE SIM and use all my normal UK services through it. But I think in the US you have to get a service that includes support for the new devices. It's probably still something worth looking into.
Thanks for your reply. The only thing I wasn't sure about is, when is the best time to start configuring this from Germany? As I already set up my SIM card at the Nord VPN and am already connected.
For me, what would be the perfect scenario is if I can use all my services at home and at work while abroad. And since I can't change my settings and my account for now (they only support my personal Google account and don't support multiple accounts), it will be even more important to have support for this, as I need to be logged in every now and then at work.
Thank you so much! Now we know we can at least take some of our phones back on vacation! And yes, if I remember correctly, that is the exact setting I ended up having to change my account settings to, with a temporary passcode which I have to change every week.
Can you put a VPN on a Nintendo Switch?
It's a question we've all pondered what would you do if you couldn't use the VPN to access Netflix or your favorite VPN provider?
This has been an issue for some people using Fire TV and other devices. You may have heard about this situation on Nintendo Switch owners, as Nintendo doesn't seem to have any way to get around it. Most other platforms are supported through your device's USB Type-C adapter or a Micro-USB 3.0 cable, and this solution is possible for Nintendo Switch users. But is there a way to get around this? Yes, there is!
How to set up your Nintendo Switch. To set this up, you need to make sure you have the following things: A Nintendo Switch (or any other compatible device). 2GB or more of free storage space on the Nintendo Switch. An USB Type-C to Micro USB 3.0 adapter A USB Micro-B to USB Micro-B 3.0 adapter If you don't have any of these things, then you can buy them from Amazon. Step 1: Open your Nintendo Switch. First, you need to open your Nintendo Switch so that you can start configuring your device. The only way to do this is by holding down the power button and turning it on. Then, connect your Nintendo Switch to your computer.
Step 2: Unplug your Nintendo Switch. Once your Switch is connected to your computer, hold down the power button until it shuts off. Step 3: Plug in the adapter. Now you need to unplug your Switch from your computer. Once you plug in the USB adapters, you will get the option to reboot your device.
Step 4: Connect to the Internet. After you've rebooted your Switch, your computer should detect your Nintendo Switch and should be able to communicate with it. You should then be able to connect to your WiFi network and log into your web browser.
Step 5: Configure your proxy settings. Open your router settings and find the option for proxy. This will usually be on a computer under Connection Information.
You will then be able to add a new DNS server and click Apply. This will allow your Nintendo Switch to use your selected proxy.
