What is Illinois Institute of Technology ranked nationally?
What does our student population look like?
Where are all these students coming from? What do they want to study? And most importantly, what kind of job will they get after graduation?
In Illinois, we have a large number of jobs that offer high pay, and good job prospects for students who graduate with a degree in engineering, math, science or computer science. We also have some low-paying, non-STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) fields, as well as many careers that don't pay much, if anything at all. These are our low-paying jobs.
I don't think I need to tell you that people shouldn't go into any of these positions. For example, an environmental engineering major could probably get a job at a small city in Illinois, and you wouldn't have to spend half your day sitting in traffic (which isn't good for anyone). However, if you are considering a career in this field, there are certain steps you can take to get ready for the reality of working for yourself. Low-Paying Jobs in Illinois. Let's start with the ones that don't pay much.
