Who killed Jerome in the scriptic crime stories?

I know he's not "dead" in the book, but it seems like a pretty big omission.

I guess I'm just trying to get my bearings on the timeline of the scriptic story. Is it at all possible that it happens later? I'm thinking maybe it's not until after the first two books.

I'm also thinking the last three books might be the only books, but if you read the scriptic stories before, that might be a little off. I really don't know if we are in that continuity. I think we are and I also think we are there for the last three books. The last three books will be very dark, and very violent. But maybe they are not so much for kids, rather for the older reader.

Why is my scriptic game not working?

I have been making a game in Scilab for about a week now, using this tutorial.

I can't seem to get my scripts to work properly, as I am just a newbie. I am a student at a university, who has been tasked to make a video game to show off our software and get extra money from doing it.

For some reason, my character is only able to jump one time before it falls on the ground. I have tried placing the animation into an infinite loop, but it never changes from once. Also, when I try to run the program, nothing happens after I press the start button.

I have written scripts into the file named "Scriptic1.s", "Scriptic2.s" and "Scriptic3.s" located in my games folder.

I have tried placing the code in this way: Code: addframe("walk");. Addframe("run");. Addframe("jump");. And then pressing the start button. Also, I have tried placing them in the global block of code, inside the script "main()".

What I need is help fixing the problem. I would greatly appreciate any help! The Game Window doesn't open at all for me. It just says: "The error message was: Unable to read SCIHOME/etc/scilab.properties" Scilab is not installed. I had to type this into the command prompt: "C:Program FilesScilab Incbin>sceilab -c start". "C:Program FilesScilab Incbin>sceilab -c stop". It's a new windows PC with a fresh install of Windows 8. It's running Scilab Version 4.0.1 Build 3.1801 on .NET Framework version 1.6.

What is the difference between scriptic and scriptic Netflix?

I am trying to work out what is the difference between scriptic and scriptic Netflix. I can only find information on scriptic Netflix which is something new and not very good. I have heard that there is a difference but can't work out what it is. Can someone please help with details. Many thanks

Yes this a great question and I have been wondering about this myself for months. Unfortunately there is no simple answer.

Scriptic was a relatively small indie service but it has since fallen by the wayside, although you can still get it in the app. If you type scriptic into the App Store and try and download a free trial it will be gone from the App Store after being bought by Netflix. The reason why Netflix bought Scriptic was to get a foothold into India and Africa markets - where Netflix streaming isn't well established. However, Netflix doesn't really make products and it probably just acquired Scriptic for the rights to the term and name 'scriptic' so that it can market and sell subscription services via its vast global online platform.

However if you take a look at the Netflix websites of its sub-regions such as UK, India, Netherlands, Germany, Finland, Spain etc you will find that these regions all state a difference and state a specific region that Netflix is available. And while I can't speak for the Dutch, English, Germans and finns I would say that the Netherlands and British Netflix are the only places where there is a 'real' difference between the 2 services.

First the difference is location. Let's start here and make a comparison between scriptic and scriptic Netflix that makes sense because both services are in the U. So lets assume that a U. Customer clicks on Netflix.com and sees the normal USA based sign up page that we see on the front of a real Netflix box:

As with any other major online service you get the Welcome to (Your service)! Click here to start watching and signing up, notice how it says 'Signing Up'. Clicking that leads to the Netflix sign up page which is also a standard setup with the Netflix logo etc.

Can you play scriptic offline?

I know this is a really stupid question, but I'm totally new to this.

I downloaded the scriptic player from the site. I have been able to download other programs, but I can't get it to play the scripts I downloaded. They play when I run them through another program, but not when I open the file with scriptic. Any ideas?

I can't find a setting in the scriptic that would allow this to be set. Are you telling me there is no way to do this? Actually, no - I can't find any settings at all. When I go to a script that's played by scriptic, I don't see any settings for playing offline. Is that what you're asking?

The reason I downloaded scriptic is because I found a couple of very good scripts, but they were all .rpms. I need to be able to play offline. Can you tell me if I'm missing something here?
Scriptic allows you to download scripts from your browser. You just have to make sure the scripts are .SCR or .SCR2. SCR files are what I used to play offline.

If you downloaded a script from the Scriptic site, then you are probably looking at .SCR2 scripts.

For example: SCRIPTIC SCRIPTS (.SCR FILES) Scriptic is a way to access your own scripts. Scriptic acts like a portable drive, allowing you to read and write files from anywhere on your computer.

There are two ways to use Scriptic: Directly run your scripts. This is called Scriptic mode.

Access your script files from your web browser. This is called Browser mode.
