I'm not sure if it's been asked yet but is there any way to unlock the restrictions on an iPad so I can use some applications that are restricted? Basically, my daughter got her hands on an old, cheap one and I want to prevent her from installing games (or other restrictions like that), but the fact that she did this means that there's really nothing I can do. I could delete apps or put an application lock, but I'm not really sure how those work and it would take hours to do. I just want to disable the restrictions for good.

If you need this on your iPad, as of right now you have two options, both of which are tedious. 1) Delete all of the apps by their ID, then re-add them all individually (which is rather tedious since you have to do it for ALL the applications). 2) Jailbreak the iPad and install Cydia to allow more apps on the device. Note: This would take a great amount of time, so even if you got it done (it seems like a fairly easy jailbreak), it may still be too tedious.

The first option you want is #3, though most likely I'd simply put an application lock and remove that. If you can do either of those things, they will be perfectly fine on an iPad.

Thank you, @Walt. I wasn't aware of that, so it must be a recent jailbreak. Also, thank you for the help. I can see how I can probably install them myself, it just doesn't make sense to have that restriction put in place.
